thats just what i find ridiculous. ennis clearly got him into a position and started to apply pressure. im fine with luke getting off to be honest, but ennis should of got two weeks minimum for what he was doing.

This. Maybe the refs didn't pick it up in the game but the review committee should have. After all, they managed to find something wrong with the Thaiday tackle.

He has never been in this situation before, well not at this level.

Going up against Storm in Melbourne in a do or die game, I just hope the pressure doesn't get to him.

Completely different kettle of fish and position he'll be playing but......I think he debuted against Melbourne? Anyway Smith ran straight at him and Oates stopped him dead and dumped him. The look on Cam's face after was pretty funny.

I saw on that crap Matty johns show that Maguire sometimes gets Refs like Cummins to run a training session for his team, WTF is that shit ?!
Do all teams do that ? Surely that would have an influence on the referees friendship with players and such have an effect on games outcomes....

I definitely think Luke deserves to play next week. You can't expect him to just accept the fact that his knees were tapping him in the forehead, without applying some resistance.

Thaiday should be playing too, not much he could've done in his position. Maybe we should just ban all tackles above the waste.

To put this down to a conspiracy against the Broncos is a bit much. I think the refs /judiciary are more incompetent than corrupt. They have been pretty evenly appalling though we tend to notice the mistakes against us more.

I honestly think they have no idea.


Edit: The refs favouring the eels over us is hilarious. Besides the fact the eels cop bad decisions weekly, it makes zero scence from a marketing point of view (assuming that's the reason you're suggesting). The broncos draw way bigger crowds/audiences and QLD supporters of any team (tits, Bronx, cowboys) will tune in and cheer them on. Just like any nsw fan will tune in to hope they lose.

Not in Sydney though, albeit the Qld TV audience will go severely down. But will the NSWRL give a shit?

Kennedy has earned his place back in the starting side, in my opinion. Put Cozza where he is best and let Kennedy wear the 10 and prove to us that he deserves to keep it for good.

I would bring Hala onto the bench before Lowrie. He must be hungry to prove himself too.

I definitely agree with the former, but not with the latter. Melbourne's forte is grinding teams down, then running them over in the latter stages under accumulated fatigue.

Hala hasn't had game time in ages, so I'd expect his limited motor to continue to be a factor. In the kind of battle I'd expect, he's going to be largely ineffective. They'll mark up on him for his brief stint easily enough.

Lowrie, however is a good bench option due to his work rate, defence, and some familiarity with the oppositions tactics and structure. He'll sub in well to absorb pressure through the middle /ruck.

Well said B'man, conspiracy theories are only claimed by the unintelligent, as far as refs go, it all starts in the junior ranks, there aren't enough quality individuals who are willing to earn $8 and be abused by some idiot covered in tattoos.

If Oates starts then at least we have three back rowers who are hole runners. I can't see us scoring in the middle of the field. It will be on the edges where we will have to hurt the storm and the addition of Oates may help with that. I also want to see a few kicks to korabidee's wing considering vidot is almost twice as tall as the guy. Then we just have to hope that vidot doesn't have butter fingers...
