Round 26 Broncos vs Storm - Pre Game Discussion

Slater is going to have a field day with Hodges at FB. I expect inside passes, chips and grubbers to Slater all night. Need to nominate one guy just to be all over him and have eyes on him all the time.

If we beat the Storm, we might even finish in the top 6 and play a home finals game if the Dogs end up losing up here (Gold Coast), in which case Penriff could end up hosting the Storm.

We obviously have to beat the Storm, but there are many different scenarios that could eventuate.

If Storm win tonight - we could finish 8th and Storm 5th (depending on other results) meaning we would face them the following week in Melbourne.

If Storm lose tonight - we could finish 7th and Storm 8th (depending on other results) meaning we face Bulldogs and Storm have Panthers.

We could host the Storm if they lose tonight and Cowboys lose to Manly and Bulldogs lose to Titans next week.

It's fun playing with the ladder predictor, of course this all relies on us winning next week.

so it all comes down to melbourne in melbourne, seems scripted for us to have to take down the team that has ruined our season over and over since 06, but it is also the perfect test to see if we are up to beating a finals worthy team on their homeground.

if we happen to win then we should be primed for an assualt on the top 8 with plenty of confidence, but its one hell of an assignment especcially if melbourne lose tonight, look for the cronk crossfield kick to waqa on vidot all night, offloads will be vital as we need to unsettle melbournes defensive structures, they will wrestle the shit out of us all night so players need to be fighting to get up and get quick play the balls, simple gameplans do not work against melbourne hence why the warriors seem to be able to knock them off.

if i was griffin i would be drilling linespeed and pressure on cronk, and telling them when in possesion just have some fun with the ball, dont be afraid to try a sneaky chip and chase midfield, melbourne are masters at the grind so we have to go all out and throw a bit of caution to the wind, we have looked good at times this year when the shackles have been released and we have gone away from the gameplan.

This is what we want. We're 2 from 2 on the Dogs this year. We have the wood on them well and truly

much like the shaun berrigan gameplan to shut down inglis in 06,, would need to be one of our best one on one defenders, possibly mccullough ?

If Storm lose tonight, we are not going to win next week.

We are just not good enough.
I beg to differ. If we find consistency for 80 mins, especially in our ruck defense, we're certainly good enough to beat any team in he NRL with the current spine.

I don't even remember the last time we beat the Storm in Storm in a game where competition points were up for grabs.

ruck defence ... AND line speed, a straight line at that.

It's what wins matches.

If you don't count the 2010 game, the last time was Round 19, 2003.

We won in 2002, as well. We have only managed to beat Storm in Melbourne 3 times.

3 times from 14 attempts. Gives us a 21% win record..

Watching the storm at the moment.
They are so slick and unfortunately seem to be running into some form. It will take a mammoth effort to beat them in Melbourne.

Fark me, Roosters getting bent over a barrel in the ruck, we're gonna be up against it well and truly.

Score more points then them however possible will be the edict cause we sure as shit wont win the wrestle.
