I can’t speak for certainty about the Warriors but Broncos have to be able to get into Melbourne next week so are being careful. Warriors play Roosters but they’d need their Redcliffe players to have not come from a hot spot.

When we are defending our try line, or red zone (whatever term you prefer), why cant we swap Niu with Isaako in defence?

Isaako is a much bigger body, takes up more space and he can be instructed to make sure at all times Milf is on his left shoulder. Niu then defends behind the line.

Or even recreate the Lockyer/Carroll duo, and get TPJ to play outside Milf, Niu to fullback and Issako somewhere close to the ruck?

Reckon people think twice trying o run at him on the edges there....

I just think we have to be creative and shut down that avenue for opposition attack...?

I could believe it's been discussed and a consensus reached without Milford being informed. I think Milford has probably known for quite some time that he's unlikely to be offered a new deal for anything like what he has been receiving.

If Dearden plays a short spell tonight does that rule him out playing a QCup game this week?

What's the point in letting Dearden start the season to QCup to work on his game just to put him on the bench for short stints instead? Learning to dominate the lower grades will do much more for his development than a few minutes at a position he's never going to play.

I agree with your point but we may just need Deardon to win this game for the Brisbane Broncos. Either Croft or Milly (may) need to be hooked. Or Turpin gets a breather. I'm all for it now. We NEED this win. Broncos should go all out for the win. Deardon's inclusion may be crucial.
