As much as i would hate to see barba playing 6, he basically needs to. Hoffman is stopping all backline movement so barba isnt seeing the ball apart from kick returns. I would just swap hoffman and barba, it cant be any worse than it is. Broncos arent a team for a player like barba. Milford is going to ruin his career if he comes here. We are a structured team that rely on defence, not exactly the right environment for players like that

I certainly wouldn't be against moving Barba to 5/8th, dunno if I'm keen to have Hoffman at fullback but it might take that, I would be more open to Maranta, Kahu(on return) or Nikorima getting a crack there instead though tbh.

Kahu showed more ball playing ability in the first half of the only trial game he played than Hoffman has all season. He'll be better than Hoffman, but probably not by a whole lot.

I'm all for Strasser or Nikorima getting the shot, don't get me wrong, I just don't think it'll happen.

Hi first time poster. Frustrated by tonights effort. Players standing back at times seeing what would happen. Trying to hard in attack, causing mistakes.

Why did we buy kennedy, we develop players for a reason. Not much bench impact.

I rate Hala highly and look forward to seeing his name on the team list but dissapointed most weeks when its not there even though he is a work in progress.

I thought Maranta had a few good runs before being benched. Barba tonight reminds me of a few years ago when he was lacking confidence under the high ball. Maranta needed to come back on to catch a few.

We were in front and Hodgo gifts them 2 points after we let Peats barge over from not that close to the line. Forget about the refs, the game was ours to win and we didn't.

Sam 5 runs all game Gillett 8. As others have said it was a lazy performance.

As for Barba, sure he isn't carving up but look at Hunts try again and see how he is double teamed which allows Hunt to get outside his man 1 on 1. He still has more value than Hoff even with 1 leg.

I agree the Hoff at 5/8 has had it's day, we simply need more from our 6. Parra worked him out a treat as should any coach, rush up on his outside support and he is too quick to go himself, very predictable and easy to defend.

We tried to play footy before going forward tonight and while I very happy we are playing a bit of footy this year you still have to earn the right by winning the forward battle.

Hoffman has been far from our worst player, he's played good this season, just out of position. I'll agree with Reed, he's neck and neck with Barba on the **** list.

I dunno how you can say Barba has been playing good.. what has he done? They showed 2-3 replays before the game of plays where Barba has set up a try, that's literally all he's done in 5 games, we could pluck someone out of Queensland Cup to do what he's doing at the moment.

He's playing injured, has to be.

Frustrated to the max with that game. What happened to both our defence and our attack?! To their credit Parra were good at shutting us down, and their attack was ridiculous to attempt to defend against but FMD...we had so many chances and bombed them. Not good enough. Patience...we need more patience...among other things.

Quite a bit of hysteria tonight, the loss had nothing to do with any particular player or players, the attitude wasn't completely there tonight and they were just a bit loose with a few basic things to work on, but more talk out there and consistent efforts will go a long way.

How is that being realistic? Kahu hasn't done shit to justify us taking yet another risk on a player in a position he isn't supposed to play in. Cherry Evans didn't become a superstar and Anthony Milford didn't become a prospective superstar sitting on their arses in the QLD cup.
