I just hope that when Hodges comes back the rest of the team don't rely on him soley to spark us and continue playing as they have been with his strike added to the mix

Hell, I'm just excited about having our best player back. If you look at last year, he was easily our best player. Last year he also was the dominant centre in Origin outplaying Inglis and Jennings. Welcome back Hodgo.

Best player last year? Top 3 definitely, but no Parker.

Hodges will play this Friday :), it says on their website!:o_o:

Yeah, I will give you that about Parker... but Hodgo was actually having a career year before injury and still one of the best backs in comp.

So the question is - can Hodges actually go for 7 weeks straight without getting injured and playing in SoO1?

The best thing about Hodges coming back is - we aren't sweating on his return to spark our team. Our backline has already had some pretty good success this year and at times has looked pretty damn classy. Hodges doesn't need to take everything on his own back, but his class will certainly improve the combinations and whatnot that we've already been building this year.

Completely agree with this. This is the first time I can remember hearing that hodgo is returning and thinking "that's great, he will be a nice addition to what's currently happening.

As opposed to the usual thoughts of "please hodgo be back soon... Please PLEASE!!!!!"

The roar from the Lang Park crowd when Hodgeo leads the team out is gonna be a sight to see.

Thats great news about Hodgo but please put me out of my misery and tell me Reed has been given the flick - someone out there must have inside info

I got a feeling Hodges' return will correspond with Barba having a breakout game for us. I think it will kick start Ben's form, hopefully displaying some of the form that won him the Dally M Medal, which will hopefully continue on throughout the season.

Something about Benny being so close to Hodges and the influence Hodges has over Ben will get the best out of Barba and I feel they'll gel really well in attack.

Hopefully Copley's injury isn't serious, he's playing great. Someone on channel 9 news last night said that Hodges was a reasonable chance to play the Eels, same with Hannant, would love to see this team.

1. Ben Barba
2. Daniel Vidot
3. Dale Copley
4. Justin Hodges
5. Lachlan Maranta
6. Josh Hoffman
7. Ben Hunt
8. Josh McGuire
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Corey Parker
11. Alex Glenn
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Matt Gillett

14. Ben Hannant
15. Martin Kennedy
16. Jarrod Wallace
17. Jack Reed

I love Corey Oates and I think he's going to be a star, but he needs some 80 minute games in the QCUP, his fitness and body weight look pretty ordinary at the moment, I'd be using Reed as an impact player off the bench until Oates is fully fit.

the only impact Reed would have off the bench is missing more tackles that he already does as he will be in the forwards - he is the last person i want to see anywhere near the Broncos team

When is the team list announced? I am curious about who goes to qld cup this week to fit Hodges back in the team! If it's not Reed I really hope this puts pressure on him to perform.

you remember Joe the Cameraman - saying - cant catch - cant bowl or something like that
Well Reed cant tackle - cant run - cant hide and runs around in circles with his hands in the air when he stuffs something up
Please send him back to England!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fighting Irish, I don't know what to tell you...Reed is like 99.99% chance of playing buddy. They'll name a 19 man squad or something to string you on a bit more, but he'll most certainly be there on Fri.

I can almost guarantee the person being dropped for Hodges is either Vidot, Copley or Maranta... Based on form Copley isn't even in the discussion for dropping, which leaves Lachy or Danny, my bet is on Vidot getting dropped, Copley to left wing.
