Oh boy - I have just taken a bex and had a lay down to get over the fact of what i have been saying on here for the last 6 to 8 months - Reed is hopeless - can't tackle except by flinging his arms around - he has made 3 effective tackles - that is a tackle when he actually initiates the tackle and completes hit with or without the help of another team member - yes 3 effective tackles in the last 2 games combined and - wait for it - allowed 4 tries by missing easy tackles if he had of put some grunt and shoulder into it - he is by far and has been for 2 years now our weakest link in the backline and hopefully when Hodges comes back Copely will take Reeds spot on the left - and yes he played left centre and wing in the under 20s but I fear our wonderful coach will keep Reed s his love child and punt Maranta for Copely
I have no idea what Wally & Locky are seeing that I miss as they both said on Friday night that Reed IS ONE OF THE BEST DEFENSIVE CENTRES IN THE GAME - HELLO - was i amd a lot of other people missing something
and as for hook and his interchange - do not tell me he is going better with it this year - he wastes 1 with parker off for 3 minutes - brings lowrie on after 30 minutes - so he has 10 before half time - sends him back out for 4 minutes in the second half and replaces him - can someone explain Hooks ideas here because that is what i call wasting 2 changes without and advantage

You know, I'm pretty sure the dash and a full stop shouldn't be used interchangeably like that.

I'm keen to at least see what Kahu can offer at Five-Eighth, I've got a feeling he will thrive if given the chance, this would be MY fully fit team, purely personal preference though.

Really tough having Vidot out of the starting lineup, but I think Maranta's safeness under the high ball is more valuable in this lineup than Vidot's metre gain.

Would bring Vidot on as a back rower hitting holes and making big metres.

You're of course ignoring the fact that just about everyone has said that "the others are just offering more that Reed right now". If Hodges wasn't coming back, I doubt anyone would be advocating dropping Reed.

No I am not ignoring what others are saying - i am putting up cold hard facts about Reeds worth or not and hy he needs to go
Maybe that may be the case in your opinion but the fact is that Hodges is coming back in a few rounds time and what is the best option when he does come back or should we act now

IMO right now I would be prepared to have a crack at punting Reed now - putting Vidot in the centres - at least he can tackle hard and can run hard and put Oates on the wing or switch then around and when Hodges comes back switch Copely to his preferred left side centre and Vidot on the wing - pretty strong centre pairing

Not sure what the love affair is with putting Oates on the wing.. He's at least 10kg heavier than he was last season, and doesn't seem game fit at the moment.

I just can't see Reed being dropped. He's too deeply entrenched over too many seasons in the side as our specialist left centre.

For mine, Vidot will be the fall guy with Copley moving to wing.

I hope Vidot isn't the fall guy. I'm sorry, it has to be Reed and if not, Maranta. I'd prefer a dangerous attack over a safe defense. Points win games, and I know everyone doesn't agree with that.

I would prefer Eastwood over Kasiano.

Mainly because I've seen his kicking game.
