Courier Mail latest:

KNIGHTS VS BRONCOS

Knights:

"Will be sweating on the fitness again of Kurt Mann after he took a knock to same ankle which had him in doubt for the Storm game in round five and he will be racing the clock to be fit given the Knights only have a five-day turnaround leading into this week’s game. If Mann is ruled out either Tex Hoy or Phoenix Crossland are options to replace him. Edrick Lee stayed down after suffering a burner to his shoulder but played the game out and should be right to play. Lachlan Fitzgibbon was close to returning last week after recovering from a hamstring injury and could replace Brodie Jones on the bench."

Broncos:

"
It’s two steps forwards and one step back with both Tevita Pangai (suspension) and Alex Glenn (lacerated leg) returning but then they were dealt massive blow on Sunday at training with Kotoni Staggs suffering hamstring injury. Glenn or rookie Tesi Niu are options to be named at centre in place of Staggs. Herbie Farnworth (ankle) and Matt Lodge (HIA) will be both right to go, Rhys Kennedy is expected to make way for returning Pangai. Reported new signing Issac Luke could come into squad if officially announced before 5pm Tuesday."

It astounds me, and is another confirmation of what a poor judge Walter's is, that flegler made the prigin camp ahead of carrigan. I definitely rate flegler and think he should have made the camp, but not in place of carrigan. Flegler may be a hot head but carrigan is a 1% specialist ALREADY, he is made for origin I believe

Probably because Flegler is a prop, which will allow them to use Arrow in the position he belongs in.

That would mean there really isn’t a place in the side for Carrigan.

Players apart from arrow who have recently played lock for their club in the QLD 2020 squad: horsburgh, McGuire, FLEGLER, glasby, ofa, papalii....

Players who have played prop off the bench or starting better then MOST of the above at club level who weren't picked in the QLD maroon side: Collins, carrigan. I'd pick those 2 above horsburgh, flegler, glasby and ofa (although ofa played well last series) in my MIDDLE forward rotation. Arrow can stay at lock, I'd have papalii and McGuire at prop with carrigan and Collins in the middle forward rotation with a 3rd prop/2nd rower

Seibold needs to add Deardon to the squad this week. Bring in Luke to start, and move Deardon to the bench. Paix needs time to adjust to the big time.

Yep, I'm with you.

This would be sweet, but I’m not sure about Croft making 40-50 tackles

There was an Origin where Lockyer either made 40 or went really close to. He just about topped the tackle count.

Think it may have been 2007? Maybe 09?

Queensland still won the game and series.

Paix is a halfback not a hooker

Are we still training at 110% or whatever it was? Starting to think that maybe it isn’t a good idea.
You mean practicing our 1 out hit ups and stagnant defence really quickly .

Any one who falls for a Andrew McCullough dummy, should be sacked on the spot
We all know if he's anywhere near the goal line he's going to go himself or be throwing crash balls all day

Pangai to miss another 4-5 weeks for a tackle like this on Macca!
