i dont know im happy for hodges to be 5/8. i think he can really add to our attack and hes a solid defender in the middle. only concern will be the defense on the edges now with sutton and inglis. all in all im more happy it goes ot hodges then a youn 5/8 i fully understand why ppl want to blood a young player though.
my only concern was its a anzac day game against a qulaity side its gonna be a huge crowd. sometimes throwing a young gun in those situations and epecting them to perform miracles can really crush there confidence. but we will just have to wait and see what happens. at the very least it will make our attack more lethal
If Hodges kills it and the only alternative being considered is Hoffman I hope Hodges stays at 6. Hodges can play a similar role to what he already does (not ideal for a five-eighth but certainly no worse than Hoffman), Hoffman can return on the wing where he is most effective, pushing Copley to centre where he is most effective. It's going to be very interesting if Hodges has a blinder. Griffin will ignore it at his own risk.
Why is everyone so worried by playing our most experienced and most confident back at 6 for one game.

Personally I would've loved to see one of the youngsters play but I I have no intimate knowledge of their progress. I can understand why you would put an experienced hand to fill the position. Will mean Hodges will get his hands on the ball more often.Might be more than one game

You're dead right . I reckon I'd catch him over 50 m but the first 10 with that fend, awesome.I sort of hoped Hodgo would be our 5/8 for this season. For mine, those giant first 3-4 steps can be so dangerous when he runs at the line. He covers so much ground most of the time so quickly, I can see him do really well if he plays 5/8.
Just wait till tomorrow night.
I don't think it's that he's necessarily that quick, it's more that he's so difficult to read that defenders hold off him. When he runs he doesn't lift his knees as high as most people do, which means that he can step very suddenly, without warning, at any point in his stride. In the blink of an eye you can go from defending directly in front of Hodges to having him on your inside with a palm in your chest. Whereas almost every other player with a notable step sets it up with a highly visible hop.I sort of hoped Hodgo would be our 5/8 for this season. The mysterious training injury to hoff, the hodges smoke screen, 1910s cryptic post... I think we can officially say that benji will be our 5/8 tomorrow night.
it is actually looking suspiciously like benji will run out in the 6 for us tomorrow
If the team runs out as named ie: Hoffman @ 5/8th I'm going to fight you.
Incorrect. The excited nature of his post suggests that he, 1910, will in fact be running out onto Suncorp tomorrow evening. I for 1 will be cheering.
Who's going to the game?
