Round 8 - Broncos vs. Rabbitohs - Pre-Game discussion

Read somewhere that Ingliss and Sam Burgess are in doubt that's why McGuire named an extended bench.

we have 4 specialist props in the side (providing we use our bench again), + parker so really i just see it as an opportunity to ease the workload on parker a little and allow him to do a bit more wide running on the 3rd or 4th hit up, as well has not be in the middle defensively all game.

should allow us to finish the game more strongly ala last week.

Yeah I was expecting him to come back through reserve grade so hopefully he plays well, doesn't get injured and can push Hoffman out for the 6

Not always, Wynnum may only need him as a centre, doesn't mean he can't be 5/8 if gets back into first grade. I think Hoffman was put into the centres when he was dropped.

Hopefully he plays well, gets named at 6 next week and Hoffman can go back to the wing

Same thing that was said about Kodi Nikorima. How can he play 6 for the Broncos when he isn't even first in line for Wynnum?

I was just joking about the Parker in 12 thing, I know he'll be playing lock and Gillett on the right edge. Though I would prefer if teams just named them properly, because rep selectors and the media can be absolutely retarded about that (ie. actually picking or advocating someone like Glenn Stewart as a genuine lock)

y in the centres and not at 5/8 i thought thats were he should be playing if he was going be 5/8 in our team

Its not actually like it was when we had the Clydesdales as our feeder team ... we can only re3quest where a player plays, the ISC team still has final say

The difference being we do have control over our under 20s team and IMO, that is an inferior comp to the ISC. and Kodi wasn't playing well enough in the 20s to keep the 5/8 role. he started at 5/8 and got moved to fullback, where he has played well. even after Duncan P, was elevated to the ISC, Kodi still didn't get the 5/8 role.

from all reports (especially given the Injury to Taylor) Duncan P is the closest to being ready to a call up to the NRL side. hopefully a few more ISC games under his belt and he will show he is ready for a crack.

I like the look of this team, Unbreakable. I don't get why people are bagging it. Reed's form is improving in the last 2 games - let's hope it continues. I like the look of your bench too. Wallace is in good form and hopefully Granville will get another run.

kahu has been named in the centres for wynnum manly this week for those interested.

Fantastic news. I really feel for the kid. Let's hope his injuries are behind him and he has a good return. I thought he had a good year last year. He reads the game well and is deceptively strong. Looking forward to seeing him back in a Broncos jersey.

It's not my team Captain, it's the team that Griffin named for Friday's game. :P

Gavin Badger is the control ref. I don't mind him actually.

We have a 2-1 record against Souths with Badger as the ref.

Overall, we have a 17-1-12 record with him as the ref.

Although the video ref is Bernard Sutton. The same guy that awarded the obstruction try to Manly, and guess who the control ref was?

Lol sorry - thought it may have been a wish list. It's the best team Griffin has named in a while. I think the penny might finally be starting to drop. I expect us to be really competitive come Friday night. Can't wait!
