I'm sure we could pick out a hundred things that if done slightly different, could've altered the course of the season thus far. For whatever reason they haven't and we are where we are at present.

I guess my point is if we were 6-0, would you be posting the same way? There's no real reason why you shouldn't be, based on our current performances.

Our lossess have been ridiculously marginal (compared with, say, the Warriors capitulation)

Roosters, Copley going for the intercept 78 minutes in with a 2 point lead, Thaiday being knocked out in the play the ball but the ref calling play on. 2 minutes and a individual brain snap and bad ref call from a win against the reigning premiers.

Eels. Pure BS. Corey Norman makes a pure ass line break after Peats threw it to no one and flukes gets a repeat set, Hayne individual brilliance scores. The Eels at this stage were as close to out on their feet, resigned to losing, thinking about next week, as you can get. About the only cohesive 7 minutes that the Eels put together that whole game.

Titans. Lowrie an inch from 14-0 and early showers. Next play Mead scores against the run of play.

If you think that those marginal differences between being 6-0 and being 3-3 mean a dramatic change in coaching then you're kidding yourself.

Yeah, and I'd still say we aren't playing that badly, or that the reasons we have lost/won those games is because of poor coaching.

Of course I wouldn't be posting the same way if we were 6-0 up, but what's the use of speaking in hypotheticals? We aren't 6-0 and we haven't played like we deserve to be 6-0.

Do I think those marginal differences in being 6-0 and 3-3 during this season exclusively mean a dramatic change in coaching? No.

Do I when taking into account our the past 18-24 months think we should have a change in coaching based on our performances as a side and individually, our gameplans/tactics and the development and progression of our youngsters? yes I do.

Am I alone on that front? No, it's actually to the contrary that there are less and less Griffin fans on this board and in general.

but I guess we're all wrong and those tiny differences should mean we discount everything else about his reign as coach thus far.

We are going a lot better than I thought we would be. The game plan is boring and predictable. Often the forwards start throwing a few passes between each other but they don't do it enough. Offloading needs to be a key for our forwards but that never happens. Our defensive structure is crap. Our scrambling in defence has kept us in games which to me isn't great defence a lot of the time.

Listen the game against the Roosters was lost by Jack Reed - In that game alone he missed 7 tackles - allowed 2 tries withe second one where Hoffman fell off his player 10 meters out from the try line with 5 minutes to go and Reed had his back to the player with the ball - HELLO -
When have we lost the 3 games so far - ALL in the last 10 minutes - WHY YOU ASK?????? - Hook played with 16 players in those 3 games and Lowrie only played less than 10 minutes in each from memory - so in actual fact we really played with 15 guys - AND we were stuffed with 15 to go - That is why we lost - bad coaching - bad player and game management and WILL NOT change anything around as he thinks we are going ok
How come blind Freddy and most of us on here who are not in denial can see what should be happening and the Coach and management cannot
Kennedy is like a lame duck - someone touches him and he stops running - he gives away penalties lying all over the tackled players - i use the "refs ears" at games and he would be told at least 4 or 5 times a game to get off and mark up - Lowrie has some guts but not given a chance - Jarrod Wallace has no idea if he is in or out of the team and not getting game time anywhere because of it - PARKER gets pissed of at the 20th minute mark when he comes off for his mandatory 3 to 5 minute rest when he does not need it - its all scripted before the game and holy hell he can't change it then
the clown Hook has no game plan - same old same old and he is stufing up our backline and Ben Barba

I agree 100%, Fighting Irish. It is really tough to take the fact knowing we have been in front in EVERY game with five minutes to go. We should be 6/6. It brings up the 'concentration' issue I mentioned a few week ago.

Do any of you anti-Hookatarians realize that those of us who are 'defending' Hook have not really said we want him to stay on? Do you realize we want to look for the best candidate and not just say let's get Walters, Henry, Sheens, Anderson anyone so long as it's not Hook? We are not against change, we just want it to be the right person and that right person is sure as anything not Kearney who sure as anything will get the job should Hook be punted for this season. Why else would he say no to the Warriors? That are some things that could be worse than Hook.

I think Henry would be a good coach. The Cowboys played some genuine attacking footy under his coaching.
