Is anyone looking forward/dreading the team that's named tomorrow?

I fear there will be only one change - Oates with a hamstring strain i think someone said - he was sitting on a cold bench for to long and it froze - he will bring Wallace back into the 17 but only play with 16 again and then the 16th guy Lowrie will only get 10 minutes anyway

Can someone tell me why he takes Parker off around the 20 minute mark and waste an interchange and bring him back on 3 to 5 minutes later - what am i missing in this obviously brilliant strategy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's already been discussed and I don't know if the actual article has been posted but here it is.

RAGING BULL CHARGES
NICE and bitter little feud simmering between Broncos coach Anthony Griffin and one of the club’s greatest players, former skipper Gorden Tallis.
After Friday night’s loss to the Titans, Griffin refused to do an interview with Triple M’s NRL broadcast team because Tallis is part of the station’s commentary panel. Didn’t impress big Gordie that much.
“The Brisbane Broncos coach doesn’t want to talk to his fans,” Tallis said.
“He didn’t come on, so he sends on some other bloke, I don’t know who he is.”
Asked who on the panel had offended Griffin, Tallis — as he is known to do — hit it hard and straight down the middle.
“I did. I told him that he shouldn’t have the job,” Gordie said. “You’ve got to have tough skin mate. You’re a coach.
“Wayne Bennett, when he first started, they ran a poll on Channel 10 to get him sacked.
“If you expect a 20-year-old to go out and run into Greg Bird and expect him to be tough, you’ve got to have a thick skin as well.”

I love Gordie. They played some highlights of him the other day on NRL360. Geez, he was really something.

It reminded me of a RLW Players' Poll years and years ago. Something like who was the hardest hitter in the game, hardest to tackle, player you'd least like to tackle etc.

Gordie won them all. I think TC got the same as well one year.

The fans need a voice something Gordy is spot on about and I'm glad his stepping up to be that voice, hopefully more from the club's past will join him and I wish Lockyer would but his too diplomatic to step up and say something that might anger Griffin.

After Gordie bleating on about us needing a big forward, we signed Kennedy, so now he has finally moved onto the root cause.

I honestly thought Griffin had turned a corner, its just a case of this bi-polar team over-performing in the first month to get everyone's hopes up.

[MENTION=1928]Renegade[/MENTION] makes some really good points. Pretty hard to argue if I'm honest.

I always like to look at the positives of things and I've defended Hook's decisions for ages. I even said I think Hoffman would go well at 5/8. Well, I'm happy to admit I'm wrong and now things have to change.

God help us all when the team is announced tomorrow.

Do any of you anti-Hookatarians realize that those of us who are 'defending' Hook have not really said we want him to stay on? Do you realize we want to look for the best candidate and not just say let's get Walters, Henry, Sheens, Anderson anyone so long as it's not Hook? We are not against change, we just want it to be the right person and that right person is sure as anything not Kearney who sure as anything will get the job should Hook be punted for this season. Why else would he say no to the Warriors? That are some things that could be worse than Hook.

This is similiar to the Hoffman in the halves argument. You don't really know who is better until you try. Unless we can get a seasoned coach like Bellamy, Hasler, Cleary almost all the options available are going to be a risk or untried. I don't think I've seen anyone say sack Hook and replace him with Kearney either but there you are putting those words in peoples mouths.

Griffin is confident in Hoffman, he will get the job done, tackling practise for the opposition, can't question his duty in the side.

Absolutely grilled Griffin was, I don't know what Gordy was going on about the pressure Bennett was facing, I don't know how for the life of me how he survived such an interview like that Bull Shark :rolleyes:
