An organizing five eight? So hunt isn't organizing from halfback? How many organizers do you want?

2

Something like: DCE + Foran, Sutton + Reynolds, Josh Reynolds + Hodkinson just to name a few

The good thing about Griffinball, is that you don't even need much organisation, at least no more than someone suffering from dementia could provide.

Tackle 1: Kick return or a hit up, 1 pass off the ruck
Tackle 2: Hit up, 1 pass off the ruck
Tackle 3: Hit up, 1 pass off the ruck
Tackle 4: Hit up, 1 pass off the ruck
Tackle 5: Second man play, back rowers as decoys.
Tackle 6: Kick to the corners
Refuse to put kick chase pressure on receiver

Added one final point for you.

That was basically Bennetts game plan as well. The only difference is that Bennett had better players to implement it. (like Lockyer, Walters, Langer etc)

"We'll move on. The football team's in good shape, we're playing with a great attitude we're just on the wrong side of the bouncing ball at the moment," coach Anthony Griffin said. "Our general effort and the way we went about our game was terrific."

Read that in Big League today...

And your point is...

What did you expect him to say, "we're shit, our players have no idea what they're doing. I can't coach for shit"

Please... He would have been asked a question and responded with the typical PR BS, and cliches. The same as every coach who's team isn't travelling great and who's coach is under pressure

Most people would rather deny a hard truth than face one Foordy, but I take your point.

I just think he should offer up something more to the fans than than the bounce of the ball not going our way...

It was not the reason we lost that game.

It's not so much that he rolls out the cliches in pressers but the fact that nothing changes until it's too late.

True, but then it also worked a lot better in the past. The game is becoming more and more skillful, even forwards are becoming ball players these days, you have to evolve.

For mine, the overall style of the game this year is basically converging to the same style of play by all teams which is why the X factor players who can pull a rabbit out of a hat are assuming a greater significance.

At the same time, execution and fitness are now absolutely critical as the game has become a lot faster

If there's ever an NRL version of Waterboy, Anthony Griffin has to be a shoo-in for Coach Klein

I certainly hope that's the case. If you remember correctly, he had all the genius plays and only forgot them because the evil assistant stole his play book and caused him to have a mental breakdown. But those plays were all still there, just took a few things to click in to place to unlock them.

The dummy half fakes to the left...no! He fakes to the right! He thinks about faking, he pretends to fake.....I don't know where I am

That isn't entirely true. Bennett used to let us throw it around a lot more than Griffin ever does.

I'd have no problem if he actually fucking changed something. It's all well and good for him to trot out the tired old BS cliches to the media....but he continues to name the same team every week with the same fucking game plan. I'd love for him to trot that crap out to the media after a game only for him to go ballistic at the team in the sheds and drop whoever needs dropping to qcup and bring through a replacement. The issue is, he doesn't do it.

Now that's a new thread right there. Matt Elliot reminds me the most of Coach Klein tbh.

our last 2/3 games haven't been anywhere near fast. the refs were refusing to police the ruck and the games were played slowly taking away our advantage. just about every game the broncos haven't played in has been ridiculously fast though. honestly this contributes a lot to us losing.

Just watched the post game presser with Griffin. I dunno about anyone else, but I think he's looking a little haggard. Feeling the pressure at the club, maybe?
