Sack Griffin/New Coach Discussion

The question is if we do not make the top 4, will they follow through and actually sack Griffin?

Personally, I don't think they will because I think him and white are too chummy. I have been told I am wrong but I guess we will find out.

I think the bigger question is if they are going to wait until the end of the season to find out what we all know, that Griffin isnt the man for the job, who on earth would be available??? Most decent coaches arent going to hang around until the end of the year waiting for a call

Do us all a favor Griffin, just fall on your sword.

Can't blame Griffin for the dropped ball from McGuire, missed conversion from Parker or bad play from Hodges. Some silly mistakes tonight but attack wise we still put 34 on.

Didn't say that he was for blame for that mate, players were pissweak tonight, but it's been a byproduct under his leadership mate since Lockyer's departure. Also doesn't matter how much points you score when your defense lets in more, if you need to rely solely on goalkicking your in serious trouble. We lack mental toughness where it counts and Griffin has shown an inability to build a winning culture, we will never be a contender under a coach who can't bring that to the table.

Half of our problems are all coaching related.

Griffin and Kearney have to go.

Looks like griffins gone as we won't make the 4 let alone the 8. We need a coach that is ruthless and gets up his team like toovey hasler and Bellamy do. We will have the same team next year with milford only new player and will lose hannant. We really need a coach that players want to play under.

Players want to play under Griffin, he's a good man manager. He's just hopeless at everything else. The complete opposite of Henjak.

And conceded 35.

"Everything is fine, Griffin will lead us to the promised land!"

Cant blame fitness, we signed the ex-Storm and Australia fitness coach - this is what he had to say in pre-season:

"More and more games are going to be in the balance up until the very end.

"The teams who win those close games, it's not a coincidence.

"They're the ones who are better prepared, better structured and have a plan for those minutes."

Griffin in self denial.

I hope we don't sign Bennett. We need a coach with a game plan different to the other teams in the comp. Bennett offers much the same as Bennett mistake free football without offloads ect. Look what Brad Athers done at the eels

You mean what hayne has done at the eels. We saw what ratchets has bought to the eels with hayne not playing on the weekend.

Eels have always played that (offloading etc.) it's just with hayne in the form he is in he has made them look better than they are

We need a good defensive coach. We are piss weak and soft because we don't even try to hurt in D. Our first contact is always high to stop the ball then get bodies in the way to slow things down. I lost count of how many times we failed to get a player to the ground in the first half.

No team is scared to go down the our middle because we are soft soft soft.

That and they can play as shit as they want and keep their spots next week.

Pretty much hey.. That's probably a lot of the reason why the players like him, I can't even imagine him raising his voice, and if he did it was just be laughable, we need a coach that would bring some fear factor.. a la Toovey or Bellamy

Just watched the press conference. Not the usual Hook. He was very disappointed and pointed to our "loose" defence. Parker was pissed too. I wouldn't be surprised if we come out firing next week. I think Barba will be 5/8 next week and I wouldn't be surprised to see Copley spend a week in the ISC.

Corey Parker looks like he is going to cry in frustration in that post match press conference.

He just looks fucken jack of it, TBH. When the reporter asked Hook about Barba's lack of confidence under the high ball, Parker kinda gave a snide smirk, kinda like, "Yeah, what a shit ****". Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but he definitely looks fed up.
