Scott Prince Is Back - OFFICIAL!

Good signing for at least the interim anyway. Prince is a quality player and leader and will help take the weight off Wallace who struggles without an organiser with him, I can see Wallace having a much more consistent year with Prince partnering him. Ideally whichever of Norman and Hunt stays around (one will surely go, I imagine it will be Hunt) will really be taken under Princes wing and schooled on how to control the team, how to direct traffic etc because last year Wallace proved that if he has to do too much he doesn't do anything at all.

Tell you what reading these comments from Anthony Griffin about certain players being unhappy at the news of Prince's signing makes it even more certain this is absolutely the right thing for the Broncos imo.

The thought that messers Wallace, Norman and Hunt could be sitting comfortably right now given what they produced last season at crunch time is chilling to say the least. Further to that it suggests that they're more about themselves than the team.

Ridding that trio of their apparent sense of entitlement to a #6 or #7 jersey next year can only be good for them and for the broncos.

Nobody's seriously suggesting Hook would pick Norman ahead of Prince, right?

Certainly not me ....... I'm saying Prince should be picked ahead of Wallace.

Here's the shame about it, Ben Hunt would be a walk up start at the Titans or any other club looking to plug a 7 jersey. He's ready to go.

I doubt any other club would be interested in Norman. He's a Broncos "project" player and the club obviously thinks his potential outweighs Hunt's ability. He's kind of like Kyle Stanley, but not as fast.

Just reminds me of playing Pro Evo Soccer and waiting seasons upon seasons for a 17 year old with heaps of special abilities cards to hit his peak. They're good, but they're never quite Lionel Messi, which grates at you.

Maybe they should be hanging around yow yeh and some of his enthusiasm and gratefulness might rub off

i think alot of clubs would love to bring norman on board. would just be another gagai story. theyd give him a good kick up the ass and slot him in where he'd be useful, at FB, or maybe a centre. we've been screwing him about trying to make him our #6 with a half like wallace who doesnt control the game/take the leaders role. and i think he's had it a little too 'easy' at the broncs.

where are these comments? i agree that its right for the broncs. sounds like a few players need a rocket. you gotta earn your right to play for the club, its not a privilege. if they want to sook they can eff off back to qld cup in my opinion

Thank God nobody at the Broncos or anyone else for that matter shares your opinion.

Frankly I don't think you're qualified to judge

and I'm pretty sure there's not too many who share your willingness to blindly accept that Wallace is the best half at the club either

.......and they for sure don't think that way at Broncos management, other wise why would they have even considered risking losing young talent like Hunt vs gaining old talent like Prince?

It's a true sign that Gee and co realise that Wallace is shit and that we'll never be a genuine premiership threat with him wearing the 7.

Desperate times call for desperate measures........Peter Wallace has led us head first into the yawning abyss of desperation.

Put that on your bedroom wall and jizz off to it.

Wallace is absolutely superior to both Hunt and Norman. You're a very poor judge.

I'd say a Wallace and Prince could form a very solid combination. I look forward to seeing how they go together. I highly doubt they won't be our 6 and 7 in round one.

Agreed.

Wallace has shown that, injury free, he is one of the best halves in the game. Learning to carry injury is what will take him to the next level.

Prince's record speaks for itself.

When it was:
1. Norman
6. Lockyer
7. Wallace

Norman showed glimpses of brilliance but was overall nothing spectacular. Prince is the experienced half substitute for Lockyer. Given though a few things are different in 2013 (no Henjak, Norman with 3 seasons of FG under his belt) things might be a little different.

I really thought after the first half of 2012 that we'd be lauding this year as Norman's breakthrough year. He did some very good things in the opening half of the season. Older, wiser, bigger and fitter he might do better.

As a fullback though, it's hard to match his style to any other current FB in the game. The best fullbacks these days are the most potent and important attacking weapon with line break ability, speed and strength. Norman is a slick ball player and a agile runner of the ball as opposed to a power runner like say, Boyd. Get Norman into more strength training and perhaps he could fit the Boyd mould but with better playmaking ability.

I do find it a crying shame that Hoffman might be the one cut loose here. Just watch Cowboys v Broncos at Dairy Farmers in August 2011 to see Hoffman's true ability.

I don't think you should take this so literally. I think that Hook means that this will make the players uncomfortable, because the calibre of this signing will almost certainly imply one of them will loose their position. I can't imagine any player going to Hook or openly complain about Prince's contract.

On the other hand, like you said, this will make them work harder for their spot, which can only benefit the club!

I think its a sign that they are concerned about norman and hunt not even giving a s***. Just because you are on your knees in an instant for benny hunt doesn't mean we all are
