Re: Scott Prince
Not when they played together. That combination was a huge factor in taking us from the bottom of the ladder to the prelims that year. Hunt was playing well, but I recall Norman's form towards the end of that run was better and many thought so too.
That isn't wishful thinking, it's the truth. Compare our performances with Hunt at five eigth against Melbourne, Canterbury, Manly, Canberra and look at how much better our right side looks and how much our fringe runners benefit because Hunt is able to pass before the line and put bodies in motion.
Your opinion.
Mine is, Norman was the only half creating anything from Round 17-21 and his biggest problem was that he couldn't take charge of the situation. Which is fine, you don't expect rookie halves to do that & all of them have suffered similar symptoms, even the greats.
As the senior half, of course Wallace is going to receive more ball but that places him under much MORE pressure than Norman to perform and if he doesn't then he should come into line, like he should have last year.
I'm not sure what the future holds and I'm fine with accepting whatever works. If it doesn't, then it should be changed and not put off because we're afraid of dropping our senior half.
Porthoz said:Yeah, I've seen them play together in the U20's quite often as well, and Norman has always been hot and cold, and has always exhibited the same patterns, strengths and flaws as he has shown this year.

Porthoz said:But you left the part out where Norman was even worse, and was by far the biggest contributor to the side's failure this season.
