Sexual assault allegation

So lets get back to the melbourne game. If they are replaced this weekend, who takes the spots?

Would be great to see Hodges back at fullback aka 2006 finals. But that would mean to many shuffles.

Im guessing kemp to fullback and Robinson and manihera on the wings.

Either Wapau,Watkins or Taylor to the bench

I am what you call an older female.

The filming was disgusting.

IMO: The person who videoed it should be the one in trouble, from what I have read that's what she objected too.

She consented to doing the sex act on them.

100% agree with Kaz here.

I'm the same. The thought that one would think to film it, without her consent, is disgusting to me.

Yes me too. Everything that happenned is alleged, including the filming, But on the same token to me oral sex with 3 blokes & sex with 2 blokes is just as disgusting to me.

I would love to see that too. With the form he's been in lately it could be pretty wild.

if i had to put money on it i think 1 guy will get the brunt of this. mainly whoever was filming. the other 2 will still be playing this week.

It surely was a stupid thing to do - but really, is it a sackable offence. That is a massive punishement reserved for the worst offences, and so far this doesnt appear to be in the same league as belting a girl in the face, or glassing a girlfriend.

It's a bunch of drunk young people (girl included) doing what is done every weekend all over Australia, and yes in toilets in nightclubs all over Oz. It just so happens there are some high profile names involved.

They have tranished the Broncos reputation and behaved stupidly - so massive fines are warranted and alcohol counselling. They should suffer for damaging the broncos rep, but cutting them loose is overkill.

Dude, we've sacked guys for repeated alcohol offences, we've sacked. We've sacked players who have beaten up on a guy.

Therefore, if either player is found guilty of filming a sexual act in a toilet without consent, THAT is a sackable offence.

Yep, but don't sack them before they're found guilty.

It's highly likely the charges if they are issued will end up being dropped or they will get off in court... and we will have lost our players. Pretty unfair.

I agree that one of them is gonna cop the brunt of this here. I wonder who.

Hardly surprised at hunt and thaiday being involved. very surprised to hear boyds name tho. goes to show, the stories you hear about these guys and how they treat girls are 100% spot on. hunt is a prick when hes out, and this just proves it. slater would never do this :p

Seriously though, this is a mess if I have ever seen one. Our season is blown.

Was that a joke? [icon_evillaugh

She made the complaint on the same evening mate.

In the reports I've read the complaint was made after being urged to by her friend.

Do you have a link to any news reports saying her mate told her to report it? I'd just like to have a read

Thorn12, what if the blokes are off their mind on booze as well? It works both ways. Why couldn't she keep in in her pants??
hey, i picked up on it too.

Women are just as culpable as men in this day and age, but if she wasn't asking for it they need the book of the law thrown at them. It should be more than their career at stake.

I too have had a friend raped. However she was drugged first and taken elsewhere. Bloody dispicable, and no-one paid the price for that either, thankfully she didn't end up like Flutterby's friend and managed to overcome it with friends family and counselling.[/quote:2t3s2qrg]

We aren't talking about rape in this scenario, I thought that was pretty much confirmed now. I hate how carefully I have to tread around this because the moment I put a foot wrong all the women in here are gonna start calling me sexist.

I realise how unbelievably terrible it must be for a woman to deal with rape, but it seems like so many people take false accusations so lightly eusa_think

Agree with you about how disgusting the filming is. I find it no more repulsive than the fact that the woman agreed to give 3 blokes oral and then shag 2 of them in the toilets of a nightclub.

Yes!

Just as it was the same for me with the Anthony Laffranchi allegations and the Bulldogs allegations. Greg Bird was different as he actively sought to pervert the course of justice and lied to his club about what happened.

It is unfair for someone to be fired on an allegation. Anyone could just make any old allegation and lead to the firing of a player. What if a girl got burnt by a player, they went on a date and he stopped returning her calls and to get him back she made a complaint. these days an allegation is all it takes to tarnish your career for good.

Really unfair. I also think the women in these cases need to be held accountable for their own actions.

Yeh on a lighter side, I am surprised at Darious Boyd, he looks like a good boy to me. Haha.

On a serious note, I do think the filmer will be stood down. Not sure if the other two would be, but they might be dealt with heavily after everything is sorted out.

But michael22, you fail to see the point. Camera or not. Their act brought the BRONCOS into DISREPUTE! ffs. Forget court sentences, guilt or innocence over recording it. Stop being so short sighted and take your Broncos goggles off.

If word on the news came out that 3 players from the Storm had group sex in a public toilet, do you think they should miss games? be suspended? expelled? .. or would you sit here and ladi da along and say let them play weekend.

Some people just refuse to look outside their own little box.

As I have said numerous times:

Good sized fines.
Alcohol counselling
Some sort of "respecting women" program

They are adequate responses to what these guys have done.

We sacked a bloke for kissing a chick who didn't want to be kissed.
We sacked a bloke for pissing under a casino table.
We sacked a bloke for driving to Hungry Jacks after being over the limit.

A three/foursome in a nightclub toilet, being filmed on a phone...I think morally that's far worse than any of the above. And you can be your bottom dollar sponsors will agree with me.

Hence the Broncos may have to sack these guys or risk losing millions in sponsorship dollars.

Is it a crime to film tho? If you are going to do these kind of things in public places you have expect something like that is going to happen??? Was it illegal for that guy to film Sonny Bill in the toilet?

If this girl is willingly to have sex with 3 players in the toilets of a club, having it filmed is the least of her worries!

After all it is a business and the club and making money is bigger than the players.
