We'd likely have seen a similar result in 2018 for "Should we sack Wayne and hire Siebold?" An opinion being popular doesn't always mean it's correct. I'd rather let Milf play out this season and into the next under an actual coach who has multiple players running lines in attack and see if he can still light it up.
I'd like to agree - and you might be right - but jeez we've given Milford a lot of chances to shine. He doesn't seem to fit anywhere, and I can't in good faith simply blame Seibold for him not looking for the ball or setting up his troops. He should be running the show at captain. But he's not even worthy of consideration.

Sidenote: Milfords on a Milli a year right? According to that Sportsbet guy he's making 11k a week after tax.

11kx52 is 572k.

lol damn tax hitting hard

Honestly, I thought Wayne needed to go back then and I still believe that now. Where it all went wrong is that he was supposed to be replaced by Craig Bellamy, and instead we made an absolute **** up of that.

We're all so hard on Milford and Boyd, but realistically all their **** ups pale in comparison to the people who blew that negotiation.

So it seems broncsgoat has frantically gone and created 4 additional BHQ accounts...

Sure, his performances aren't up to scratch and you'll get no arguments about that from me. But we've seen how he can play when the team is actually running shapes and has the opposition on the back foot. If we can get the team doing that again, he'll either play well or the team environment will be ripe to let Dearden come in. At present if we drop Milf the only thing that changes is it's Dearden getting rinsed every Thursday night instead, and I'd rather not ruin him just yet. Because with all the one out running and lack of support play, slow forwards getting the ball with defenders rushing up on them already, nothing's going to change with a different 5/8.

Hell, at this point do we even know why Croft is doing all the kicking? It's easy to point the finger at Milford for being lazy but I wouldn't be terribly shocked if Fatty Boombox has told them to do it that way. The coach absolutely has to go anyway and the season's a writeoff, may as well take the opportunity for Milford to either be a sacrificial anode or pull his socks up.

If there was someone more, or as equally talented as Milford to replace Milford with........sure, drop him.
Bottom line is there aint, so dropping him would serve no purpose whatsoever.

Statistically speaking, against the Roosters he only contributed marginally more to our performance than Tom Dearden did and Dearden likely watched the game from his loungeroom on TV.

Lodge could play 6 and we would have a similar score line.
milford has had years and years to prove his worth, but he just isn’t up to it.
send him to Melbourne, he may flourish under a coach that actually knows what he is doing.
I’d be happy for the club to subsidise half his contract for 2021, just to see him out the door.

I tend to agree with this. I would rather stick with Milford who at least has a history of showing he can be a good player and on his day best on ground than stick with the coach who has shown no such track record.

I wouldn't die on the Milf not getting dropped hill but i'd rather see the coach dropped before Milf.

If he doesn't do something about Milford very quickly it's likely they'll both be helping each other clean out their lockers before long.

With all the heavy scrutiny that has been on Milford's game over the last few weeks, he dishes up 4 runs for **** all metres last night. Does he think this is acceptable?

If you think Dearden has more to offer than Milford....you're sadly mistaken. Thats not putting shit on Deardon, its just the simple facts.

Should we not be casting a more critical eye over our forwards.......and their inability to hold onto the ball, and lay a platform for Milford and Croft to work off? Difficult ask for the halves to shine if they don't have the room to work in.

Yes.

I love Milford, and pray all the time he could go back to his 2015, half of 16 form.
Aint gonna happen so even more of these days he needs to go.

That wasn't what I said. I said Milford had such a negligible statistical contribution to the Roosters game that someone who didn't play in the match at all only contributed marginally less.
