He can apparently appeal the grounds of the decision, but not the actual cancellation itself. Apparently he would be long odds here.

I think the judge can make themselves available. I guess it depends how much money you have, as to if your lawyers have those types of contacts.

Money talks. It’s a mockery of the immigration system though - that family from Biloela got thrown on a plane in darkness and flown to an island.

He needs to be put on a plane tonight - surely this can be used as precedent in the future if he somehow is allowed to stay

Judge has the shits. Novak's laywers objected to the address for tomorrow morning being published in the hearing (as req'd by law) and Judge snapped back saying you're raising this 2 hrs later?

He's adjourned the court for 5 mins and stormed off.

So, after a brief adjournment, the parties agreed to clarify the orders so that Djokovic can be taken into detention after his interview tomorrow at 8am at a location of the parties’ choosing. This is to avoid a “media circus” at the Lonsdale St offices identified in the hearing.

Djokovic’s diary is:

• 8am Saturday – interview with Border Force
• Then detention, including
• 10am-2pm at his lawyers offices on Saturday; then
• From 9am Sunday, also at his lawyers offices, this time for the hearing
