I'll tell you what, since it offends you so much, how about I compromise and start calling them "the DolPhins"
Are three extra letters too difficult.....?
The Dolphins........I can, like most other NRL fans .......understand what/who you're referring to
if you could continue to kindly stretch yourself
so far as to throw in those extra three letters........
Well.....
sorry ... then it wouldn't be a compromise.
So it is a BHQ glitch......?
and you are typing in "The" Dolphins
??
I notice you weren't using " " around The....before
Is this yet another BHQ glitch?
Can we just refer to them as the dolphins or Redcliffe anyway? It‘s a pretty lame joke that has run it’s course and stopped being somewhat funny after a day or so. remember not everyone who reads the site is a member or as frequent user as some of us and they probably have no idea what the hell is actually being discussed. unless you are in on this totally hilarious joke then the conversation is just confusing. just seems like a low blow because a few people are seemingly offended by the fact they have been granted a licence at all, in our town. How dare they, They are just getting off the ground, thereks no need to ridicule every move they make, especially when we have obvious issues in our own club.that was to help emphasise it for you ... if you'd take a look, you'd realise i put the " " around Brisbane too.
I could have bolded The or increased the text size or maybe both to emphasise it if you would have preferred.
you're getting offended at the wrong people. I'm not the one who removed Redcliffe from their names.

I wouldn’t describe myself as offended, it’s just that it could maybe be considered somewhat of a dad joke if dad had a stroke then had his head set on fire and became braindead. The comedic value disappears when it is repeated 5-10 times a day by the same 3 or 4 posters too.if you want to refer to them by the wrong name (Redcliffe) or their moniker (Dolphins) go right ahead
I don't know why people are so offended by joking about the Phins ...
no one complains about the boat/Storm jokes
or the sombrero/uncle Nick/Rooster jokes
hell, i haven't even seen anyone upset about people referring to their own team as "donkeys"
Who cares what they fucking call themselves? They could call themselves the flamboyant man loving ball licking bisexuals and I wouldn’t give a ****. I would still watch them if they could play footy. but hey, let’s blame the nrl and contradict ourselves by saying that maybe people who want to support the dolphins in some way shouldn’t be on the forum but we will campaign for them to have their team’s name changed anyway. You’ve got it totally wrong @tommy mate, no one is having a go at The club, in fact I’d argue most would like to see it be successful as long as it isn’t at the expense of the Broncs, it is taking a stab at the NRL in a way we can to try and bring about the name change that should have happened at the start by calling them Redcliffe.
The NRL is at fault here, not the posters. Plus, if new fans on coming on here as you suggest and the first thread they are going to is about The, well are they on the right team forum?

Maybe people who constantly promote and encourage discussion about fucking afl and how much better it is than stupid old corrupt match-fixed nrl shouldn’t be on the forum either.
hypocrite much?
I’m glad it happened too. It really does highlight what small poppies some fans of our team have become when it comes to not only direct competition but our own team’s inability to remain relevant. Keep making “the” joke. Trust Me, it’s really, really funny and does not project any insecurities whatsoever.Good discussion.
