Gillett went well in defence (surprisingly). Didn't do much in attack. I'd stick with him over McQueen and Te'o, who drop out for Thaiday and Lillyman. I don't trust Thaiday as a front rower, I'd really prefer a specialist who could do the dirty and tough work from tackle 1.

Thaiday will be there, McQueen or Teo will take his place. Meninga's reaction after Gillette didn't catch it 5 meters out puts him in the dog house, I'd be surprised if we see him the next game.

If Ben Hunt plays State Of Origin this year, I will be quite astonished. Not because he doesn't deserve it, but because can you think of a more meteoric rise for a single player in a single year. Barba didn't even play Origin in 2012.

Surely if DCE is out you don't select Milford who has been playing fullback all season you go for someone like Hunt who is in form and has been playing the position.

The only thing keeping Hunt out of the 7 is his kicking game. He has been showing improvement but is it good enough for Origin level?
I admit, it would be awesome to see Hunt play outside a real number 6 for once.
