The QLD Autopsy...

I can't believe how sick the nrl can be to decide the severity of a charge based on the extent of the receiving injury. Disgusting.
Someone will pay the price one day

Yeah I feel sorry for Jordan McClean. He's been rubbed out because the media wanted a pound of flesh and the NRL wanted to send a message that the game is safe to play for all those concerned mothers in Western Sydney.

A ****ing joke. I guess quality leadership is too much to ask for.

What's the bet that they only gave him 1 week because they knew if they gave him 2 weeks, with this newish rule about bye games not counting, he wouldn't have been able to play game 2 ? Hopefully it's not me just reading into it too much....

McLean's tackle was made worse by McKinnon ducking his head. If he doesn't, there is no injury.

How is that 7 weeks but Reynolds isn't? It's fucking ridiculous. The judiciary are a bunch of fucking clowns.

Spot on. I think you nailed it tbh. It's that old rubbish argument of 'does he deserve to miss an Origin game?'

Well it ****ing happened in an Origin game so...

I am shocked it was downgraded but not surprised. (I know that's confusing)

I've never been one for a player lying down, but I reckon if Tate had and the trainers spent minutes checking him out Reynolds would have been at least given 10 in the bin. We got absolutely no reward off his illegal play. Smith dropped the ball after Myles' offload and Reynolds doesn't miss an Origin game.

The ultimate conundrum. Do you sink to the penalty milking style seen more frequently with nsw. Sadly the refs are never going to improve, and I'd never support lying down but I don't think they have a choice any more

I think it's getting to a point where they have to.

I don't think people would be as angry about that tackle if it wasn't for the nrl making a huge fake stink about cracking down on lifting tackles. If they don't care about these dangerous throws unless someone becomes paralysed, why put on such an act about how against it they are?? (ie instant on report if a player is lifted beyond the horizontal) Of course he'll get downgraded, unfortunately.

My thoughts exactly.

Stop treating the fans like idiots. Stop putting on the show that they care about lifting tackles because they don't, just own up to it FFS

Exactly. They're cracking down on dangerous tackles. nek minnit, downgrades for everyone.

It's an absolute rort. I couldn't care less if he is in the team next origin or not as he is no threat whatsoever but that tackle should have been binned and he should be on the sideline for a month as T Sims should as well. This decision is disgusting.

That's a couple cheap shots Papalii has put on Gallen now.

I like it. He's definately got Gallen looking over his shoulder.

Game Summary

Hayne has a blinder. Take him away from NSW and they lose.

Thurston has a shocker. DCE and Cam Smith not too far behind. I hold these three most responsible for the loss. The forwards IMO did their job.

Myles was amazing. Teo and Papalii aggressive. Guerra was solid. Parker held his own as did Gillett. Matt Scott way too quiet.

Same old story as last year....gotta get GI quality ball. It's no good Thurston giving it to him when he's got no room to move. Thurston even started bring Guerra in as first choice receiver.... pushing GI out even further. ****en craziness

Slater was good, but he could still do what he did tonight from the wing. GI must play fullback.

Assuming Cronk is gonskis for game 2....

1. Inglis
2. Boyd
3. Tate
4. Hodges
5. Slater
6. Thurston
7. DCE
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Myles
11. Teo
12. Papalii
13. Parker

14. Milford
15. Gillett
16. Guerra
17. Thaiday
Agree with you regarding Guerra clogging up the back line too much and stopping GI from getting the ball. Didn't think Papali gave us much.I would consider dropping him for Hannant or Lillyman. I hope when Thaiday comes back he does not also does not overdo the wide running further clogging up the back line. Despite JT being very below his best we still could easily have won that game so I think we certainly can win in Sydney. Hayne is super confident right now and a plan must be made to nullify him as much as possible such as some quality bombs early in the game with the aim of allowing someone like Hodges to get some really solid hits on him.

Three explayers on the judiciary that downgraded the Reynold's charge. They need to stop using ex-players because they are sympathetic to players missing out on big games and use people that don't have a bias, maybe some referees?

Use three different people. One Leaguey, a body-mechanics type, to analyse the physical movement, and a legal person to cut through the BS of the defendent's lawyer.

Problem is, whoever smashes him will most likely get binned with a longer suspension than what he got!!! I am floored that a lot of players are suspended for a lot longer for a shoulder charge than a potentially life threatening lifting tackle... Unbelievable
