RABBLE RABBLE Tigers Robbery - Refereeing Farce

I've often wondered why they have never put somebody like Peter Sterling, Gus Gould Andrew Johns or Greg Alexander who have years of commentary and video analytical experience in the bunker instead of a referee. Who they change almost all of the time.

There are no guarantees it would work, but Sterlo and Gould used to be able to come to the same conclusion as the old video referee's in half the time.

The NRL's handling of this feels like they robbed the fans all over again. They have no respect for the fans, as long as Gamblor gets enough gambling ads out to enough people he doesn't care.

RLeague guys, remember when the site was sold under the cover of darkness to a gambling company and they ripped it down and just expected us all to carry on as if nothing happened (and keep using the site)? This is what I'm feeling is happening right now to the NRL. They can't fathom that it's the fans who keep it alive and will not understand when everyone leaves to go elsewhere.
you will have nothing, and you will be grateful

If you toss a coin, its technically a 50/50 chance right? The question is, is that better than the current refs? Should they just employ the coin if it is?

Big Del, you would be singing a very different tune if it was the Broncos on the end of this farce.
The fact so many neutral footy fans have come out and blasted this should make it obvious that bias is playing no part in the outrage.

I could care less if the Tigers won the Spoon for the next 50 years, but they were 100% fucked by the officials yesterday.

Why are you addressing me ?
I haven`t even posted in this thread ? Are you confusing me with some one else ?

I’ve never bought into a lot of the conspiracy theories regarding refereeing but I really find it hard to watch what happened against the tigers and find a plausible explanation for what we witnessed that was not an explicit effort to directly influence the result of that match.

There were multiple people who broke or disregarded multiple policies to have the game end in the result it did. The NRL to then defend these actions rather than admit fault only adds to the concern.

I predict McHunt will come in with his "Hanlon's razor" defense of the NRL sooner or later.

Has the NRL said anything about Holmes clearly being in front of the line on the drop out?

I could be wrong, but I think it's do with your yawn reaction to my post.

Hmmm maybe ?
I think they got Big Pete and Big Dell mixed up myself . I had to go back and check if I did post here . Nope .

Your only action in this thread was the yawn reaction to my previous post. Also what's with the yawn reactions? Genuine question, I'm not sure why you are using it. You've done it to a few of my posts in other threads too. Do you disagree with my opinion? Or are you bored by what I'm saying? What's the context for you to yawn at someone's post?

I probably didn`t agree with the post .
I don`t remember what post I yawned at .

Mine, and Bazza, that's why it was directed at you. No big deal, was just saying would you be eye rolling and yawning about others reactions if this result was against the Broncos.

Its fine to disagree, but i genuinely wonder how some folks would feel if it was the team they support that lost on the back of such blatant incompetence.

Right. So anytime someone reacts with a yawn, it means they disagree? Interesting. I mean, I wouldn't do that myself personally, but each to their own. Why not just say that you disagree and give your opinion instead?

Right ! Jeez sensitive much ?

I think there was also another instance in another game over the weekend where a player was offside from the kickoff. The ref played on and just told them not to get involved in the play. I swear that used to be an automatic penalty.
