OFFICIAL Titans get their man with Fifita signing three-year deal

I didn't say THE worst, I said among the worst which they are at 3-8.

My opinion has nothing to do with the Brisbane Broncos. As I said with them, all bets are off until they get a new coach. My point on the Gold Coast Titans is that they still have a long way to go before they can be considered a decent team.
Well, I guess that applies to us too. Amongst the worst and not currently a decent team. I do however think it's a cop out to say all bets are off( having no opinion?) until the Broncos get a new coach. That could be three and a half years time. No, both teams have a coach, both teams are amongst the worst and both are 3 and 8 so...which of these teams has the most realistic chance of winning more games? Which will finish higher? No squibbing it just because you don't rate Fat Tony.

As bad as things have been over the last 2 months, at full strength in 2021 with hopefully a new coach and a few astute signings, I would say there's minimal chance the Titans will be better than us.

Who knows how the rest of this season will pan out, complete flip of the coin.

Mate, they've taken a leaf out of Whites book of how to get bums on seats. **** the team and supporters. It’s all about sponsors and also in our case shareholders.

i'm not sure they have the "bums" to put on those seats.

What do the Broncos have to do with the Gold Coast being a decent team? Unless the Broncos become so bad they drag the entire standard of the competition down with them their form hardly plays a role in the Gold Coast's fortunes.

Until we know who the coach is, it's impossible to know the direction of the club. Clearly Seibs is under immense pressure to keep his job and it's highly unlikely his reign will continue after this season let alone in three years time. I just can't see things remaining this way for the Broncos, especially given the strength of the club.

why are people having a go at management for doing the right thing for a change

Because it shows the state of the club at the moment that one of the best forward prospects in the NRL has gone to what is supposed to be the rabble down the road instead of us.

Also it has been suggested that had we been in a better position onfield, that the difference in money wouldn’t have been enough to sway him to leave and that’s on the management for the ludicrous decision to give Seibold the keys to the joint for 5 bloody years after 1 year in first grade.

A decision that is slowly burning the reputation of the club to the ground each day he remains in charge whilst the board hide behind their irresponsible decision to save their own jobs.

That’s not the point. The management are awful and need to go, there is no question there. That being said in this instance of not going higher than 800 (which is overs at any stretch) was the right call. Even if we had the cap to match the Titans that would be the worst decision we had made in a long time to match it. The crap about the start of the club is bullshit being spread by Gwen and their advisors to try and make it look like it wasn’t about the money and that poor little Davey had no choice. Wouldn’t surprise me if that idea was a Tallis special or if he is in fact this mystery ‘advisor’.

I think some people need to jump ship the way they're carrying on , one really bad season and we're suddenly shit.
**** me the titans start getting their shit together finally, and all of a sudden they ahead of us.
**** that ! support your team or **** off !!

Maybe it’s a matter of seeing how big Gwens new house is on the front at Broadbeach.

Have you answered the question about Hodges leaving and coming back?

Yeah Hodgo ended as one of my favourite ever players but when he came back I was against it and I didn't get behind him for years. His dedication, passion and performance won me over eventually.

This is completely different, if you could remind me when we rescued Hodgo from a Bali jail cell only for him to leave to one of our main rivals a year later when the club needed him more than ever I will adjust my stance.

Well I look forward to Dave winning you over when he returns.

He isn't returning mate, there is no chance. He is with his mates we keep hearing about now and he isn't going down in pay from here and we won't and shouldn't pay that. In any case even if he did return (which he won't) as I said this is different to Hodgo and there is nothing he can do to win me over. Not that he would care and he has made it clear he doesn't care about anyone or anything other than himself.

David Fifita returning is probably the one thing that would make me stop supporting the club/NRL. I will never cheer him in any jersey again.
