Beads: don't read much into Kemp being on the bench. I think it's more to give Michaels first go in this game and see how he goes. Kemp will get his time on the field for sure. Possibly get a chance at fullback (since from all reports he played wing last weekend).

I am a bit upset that Kemp has not been given more of a chance at fullback TBH. I think he and Lockyer could create some very special moments for the Broncos in 2010.

Harsh. I don't think giving Michaels a chance in the trials does any harm. If he's not up to it he misses out on round 1. Simple.

If he shows he can do the job in the trial games, better than say Gerard Beale or whatever, give him a go.

Personally I think Winterstein and Kemp as wingers, and give Norman first shot at fullback makes some sense, and play Folau and Glenn in the centres. But hey, I haven't seen any trial games yet so I'm not in a position to argue with whatever Henjak decides.

All I do know is that competition for places is very very healthy.

Yeah I was just being a silly bugger for the mostpart there coxy. Of course there is nothing wrong with trialling Michaels. However I still think he's gonna have to pull off something pretty special to displace one of the other wingers we have. What I said was pretty harsh though, my apologies :P

He had the entire game against the Raiders, and he was, at best, hopeless.

While I don't think he should be picked for the round 1 side at present I do think he still deserve at least another opportunity to show something as to why he should be in the side, if he doesn't then fine let him play in the Queensland Cup. This is what trials are for, exploring all options not just playing the most likely side.

Michaels can play he has shown us that, he had a bad year last year and his confidence was shot. There is no reason why he can't turn it all around this season and play to his potential. In sayin this if he gets selected ahead of Denan Kemp there will be a natural disaster named after me at Red Hill icon_thumbs_u

Exactly and thats what counts whats best for the team not just whats best for one particular player, for example I would rather have Norman at fullback and Kemp on the wing then have Kemp at fullback and no Norman in the side and then having to play an out of form Michaels on the wing.

LOL your a funny guy.. I am backing Kemp to get back to 2008 form so I think Winterstien would be back in QLD cup if anybody!! Only time will tell anyway but asl ong as the Broncos are winning all willl be good. icon_thumbs_u
