I rarely have more the 4 drinks at a game as i prefer to watch the game so the price does not worry me

Exactly. I usually have one beer per half of footy and if I want a feed I get it before or after the game, which isn't hard. The price of food and drink at footy is extremely expensive yes, but there is ways to avoid it.

FTR - at major events, they do need to charge over-inflated prices to make a profit the price of temporary liquor and food licenses (which is what they need to get as it's not a full-time business there) and the venue space rental is extraordinarily high; so to firstly meet their expenses and secondly make a profit they do have to charge so high.

I agree it is kind of sucky; but I go to the footy to watch the footy, not to drink - I don't drink at the footy at all. And I do usually buy something to eat there but that's because I choose to eat there instead of eating before I go (which is something I think I will do more often this year).

I just get blind before the game and have a beer or 2 whilst watching. Cheapier and you don;t miss much of the game.

I don't like it but I still pay, just like the vast majority of people who go to the footy and like to have a drink there. I realise the prices aren't gonna change but they are still ridiculous.

Agreed the prices are too steep, but can we please keep this thread for trial results and related talk from here on on. Cheers

I'm loving all this talk about Folau carving up.

And, although it's early days, Norman could be the Hunt-style fullback playmaker we need.

cut out the "Hunt-Style" and your on the money there.

what style did he play with then? which player would he remind you of?

not every player needs to remind you of someone.

Who does Lockyer remind you of? what about Webcke?

Steady on, Benno just asked a simple question. Surely Norman has similar characteristics to one of the thousands of players that have graced the game professionally before him?

That part there to me came across as a "he must have"

if Benno is offended then Benno sorry, But since Hunt has left ive seen alotta "hoffman is the next hunt" stuff like that. Imo if we keep comparing players to the past we will keep getting let down.

As Ning suggested I was simply asking out of all the players to ever have played the game, who's style would he be remind you of? I didn't get to watch the trial and was simply trying to get an idea. IE does he disappear through a gap like Renouf use to, does he slice through them like Lockyer does, palm his way through them similar to Inglis etc, the list could go on forever, there have been a lot of player to play this great game.

I think people just arc up because there's been so many "the next Wally" "the next Alfie" "the next Joey" type players and they invariably fail to live up to the hype because those are once in a lifetime players.

I know what you're saying, players have styles that may remind you of another player, but the way footy media in particular works is if a coach or player says "Corey Norman reminds me of a young Darren Lockyer" the douchebag with the notepad and pen writes an article in the paper that screams "Corey Norman - the next Lockyer".

BAH!
