I think the Broncos have made a huge mess of this. They should just negotiate a proper severance package like normal businesses do when they want to get rid of an employee under contract. Unless of course, they genuinely want him here next year.
 
This mess just makes things harder for seibold and the fans. Bennett doesn’t give a shit, he’s on borrowed time and will milk his legacy for as long as possible. But if the swap happens now, Seibold will have to come in blind and try to establish his systems in a short amount of time and will get slammed if the broncos don’t succeed.

That means nothing. There is always the possibility that News Ltd have provisions to make a decision above the board. I would be surprised if they would use such a provision for something as boring as this though.

Amazing how excited and drawn in everyone gets for this "press conference" which of course was called by Wayne. Not a Broncos official in sight. For the sake of the team and the fans, the board has to call their won conference and say yay or nay to Wayne. I hope he gets the boot personally but think one way or another the speculation has to end and end now.

How many more times do they need to say "yay" to Wayne for 2019 ... They have been saying it since the beginning

Doesn't make it true.

If he's fired this arvo we'll know that we were lying the whole time and were only swinging it that way in hopes of Bennett taking a reduced severance or the Rabbitohs chipping in for it. If he isn't fired this arvo, we were either telling the truth the whole time, or we're too proud to be made a fool of and will bite the bullet and endure the 12 months of media crap surrounding Bennett, not to mention the constant rumours of Bennett grooming players to follow him to Souths, etc, which WILL happen if we don't fire him.

Speculation created solely by the media (especially Pete Badel) but of course everyone gets caught up in it including myself occasionally. I am tipping that the 2019 season proper won't be half as intriguing as the 2018/19 off season.
 
For **** sake. Our 2019 season is so beyond ****ed. The past 2 years have been nothing but off field drama and distraction. I'm sick and tired of it. At this stage I wouldn't be upset to see the back of the whole lot of them, Bennett, White AND Morris.
