Something strange is happening with the media, they aren’t all sinking the boot in to the broncos in saying he’s definitely worth one mill. Almost suggesting we should be sticking firm.
I could be wrong though, I’m only halfway through my first coffee.

I was thinking the same until this morning when perennial dribblers, Andrew and Brad, both said that Payne is easily worth a million. Andrew went on to confidently say he will end up at the roosters.
Andrew also asked the question “is he off contract this year?” but moved on before anyone answered.

Easily worth a million and will end up at the rooster, but he's not worth a million at the roosters and they've already indicated that to his management... so which is it Andrew??
Will the roosters be allowed to pay under market value for the best prop in the game (not allowed under the salary cap rules) or has Haas effectively priced himself out of ever going to roosters, storm, panthers, etc. because they're not going to pay him his wages and salary cap doesnt allow that to happen

Two blokes who don't even know if he is off contract ? Same with 360, Anasta said he was in an off contract year. These guys are talking about things they haven't even looked into, he also claimed Reynolds was on a million. Despite the public knowledge he signed for less than the Sharks offered, about 750k. These guys are just full of shit.

It would seem that none of the big clubs value him at million, but that could change if he develops that offload and is able to be utilised in the attack more.... which we should be doing anyway.
If Haas is to stay they might work an upgrade and extension to $900k or so to make him the highest paid prop... Lolo would still be higher in terms of middles, but valuation of top tier middles has fallen most likely due to Lolo's contract.
Can also feel his new management will be wanting some PO's in there as part of any extension... that would allow him to reevaluate his salary if needed.
If the PO's do happen I would want something in there to make it a bit more like a restricted FA PO... which would give the Broncos the option to match any new contract he intends to sign... that would prevent him taking less to go to the roosters.
