Old boys should be going to town over this circus.
If Haas somehow ends up deciding he'll go to the Roosters, I hope Dave makes it clear that he's not going unless we get Sam Walker back.
I think that's a fair trade given their current standing in the game.
There will be no outrage, business as usual, swept under the rug.The only good thing that will come from Haas going to the Rorters, as others have alluded to, is that it will shine a dirty big spotlight on them for the salary cap cheating, competition destroying club that they are.
I agree that the Broncos should lock down Red Hill and ban all media until these outside influences are shutdown.
While other clubs do suffer heavy media scrutiny, it pales in comparison to what occurs with the Broncos.
TPJ, Coates, Haas, and every other big name player we have had in the past 3 seasons has been put through the media ringer, putting pressure on the club and the playing group in the process.
I also think that this has now gone too far with Haas and we should cut him loose, as others have said, for a trade of some kind for a player in the spine.

I Just want Haas to address all this bullshit and come out and categorically state that as far as he is concerned all this issue has been media generated, and that he is fully committed to the Broncos until the end of his current contract. Further, he hopes (if the terms are favourable for both parties) to stay beyond that if the club is back regularly playing finals footy.
Sadly we are not hearing Haas saying he loves the club that has developed him and supported him. We're not hearing he really appreciates the Broncos giving him a pay rise when it was not required, that he has been treated more than fair by the club and would like to repay that with a strong show of loyalty to the club.
If the big boof head feels he is bigger than our club, then it's up to DD and Ikin to salvage as much as they can from shipping him out and get the disruptive element off our books.
It doesn't really matter how much we are paying him, if he does not want to help rebuild the club - move him on. Remember too he was our starting prop when we were at the foot of the table. Regardless what he was getting paid his inclusion in the side did not make a blind bit of difference to our poor results.
He also haas to remember that Allah put him and his family in Brisbane for a reason. If he listens to those jackals in Sydney he is sadly being misled.
Well that's great. Why isn't this being splashed all over the media I wonder? He has done that.
“I’m not looking anywhere else,” he said. “I’ve gone through some stuff lately (with his court battle) and I’m trying to focus on my footy. “I am putting that (contract) stuff to one side and I want to play the best football I can for my teammates and the Broncos. “I’ve got three more years to go on my current contract, so I’m in no rush to extend my deal. “I am taking it week by week and I want to play the best footy I can for this team. All that contract sort of stuff will sort itself out eventually.”
“My main goal is to win a comp for sure,” he said.
“We have a long way to go, we have to take things day by day, but the ultimate goal for me is to win a premiership and make this club great again.”

My thoughts on releasing (and by releasing i mean trading him for a spine player) is multi faceted.I don’t know why anyone thinks anything good will come of releaseing Haas.
The NRL wont change a thing if he magically lands at the rorters.
To think other NRL clubs & the Broncos are going to kick up a stink and change will come of it is nothing short of laughable.
What I would love to see (as i’ve been saying) is for DD &/or Ikin front the media and say Haas wont be going anywhere until at least the end of his contract.
Payne sure as hell isn’t going to say anything and I really dont want Kevvie speaking to the matter as I don’t think he handles this sort of chat well.
I‘m expecting Kevvie will be pressed by a few journos today at the captains run presser.
Do you really think the Rosters are going to give us one of: Teddy, Keary, Walker or B.Smith in return for Haas?My thoughts on releasing (and by releasing i mean trading him for a spine player) is multi faceted.
First it would quiet the noise around him and the club and remove distraction.
Second the money we are paying him and that he is demanding would be far better spent on a fullback.
And third i seriously think if he ends up at the Roosters, alongside Smith, Teddy, Keary and the rest of their high paid stars, it will be impossible for them not to be investigated for their overt salary cap cheating (which needs to happen regardless, but wont until it is completely blatant).
If Payne was serious about staying at the Broncos he should tell his dickhead mates to keep quiet and stop bringing all this negative attention to the club he apparently loves.
