If Mason is toight with the group Haas is getting advice from, I'm really happy to hear his rant because it means we've only offered 750k and that is about 50k short of what I would pay him as a maximum. This implies our management are no longer handing out dumb contracts. We lose a lot if Haas goes BUT with Flegler, Carrigan, Willison and a few other youngsters coming through, it isn't like we'll be destitute for forwards.

It will be interesting to see what the NRL does when Haas announces he plans to be at Bondi in '23 despite having a contract.

He's on 750k this year (hence the ranting from Mason)... he ramps up to 850k as the years go by.

How many ex Broncos are employed by the club.. they must not give a shit about any of those guys either to set them up with a job after footy.
Are the roosters going to give him 1.3 million?
Brisbane literally just offered him a million a year didn't they?
Seems like all these guys are fabricating bullshit to turn Payne against the Broncos, this feels like it's going to get ugly pretty quick.

If thats the case, i would hope the Broncos unleash the lawyers.
Also the NRL has to realize the damage their reputation will take if the Roosters end up with yet another superstar signing.

Might as well throw the whole comp in the trash at that point.
