I know what you're saying Guppy - they don't look so great in comparison. If they did the girls first I think everyone would still be going "Oh WOW!!! That's f***en awesome!!!" But after seeing the men, the girls are a bit of a letdown. Although - I still think what they are doing is awesome.

Oh yeah. I mean, what they're doing is f-ing hard and takes an amazing amount of skill.

It's just that the men are SO far ahead. It's probably more a case of the guys being so far ahead rather than the girls being so far behind...if you know what I mean.

I gotta say though that getting home last night and watching the mens half-pipe I was completely underwhelmed. I was expecting to see that dude doing some trick that would have me absolutely flabbergasted but it just didn't do it for me. Maybe I'm just too old for this stuff...

Wow. I was impressed. The "Double McTwist 1260" that White pulled off on his second run is just crazy. It's all about that last little twist. The air he gets is unbelievable.

The girls haven't even pulled off a 1080 in competition.

Man that sucks. Didn't realise they re-did the run order between first and second runs. Torah up first, what pressure.

Nails her second run!!!!!! She's laid down the challenge to everyone else in the field. Gets a 45 now sits in 1st and waits for everyone to chase her. I am so nervous

Yeah that guy is the shizz. Course it helps when Red Bull builds you your own Half-pipe in the middle of Colorado so you can practice by yourself and exclusively absolutely any time you like.

Holly Crawford also has a clean second run. Currently sits in 6th, so will miss the medals.

White has his critics, but the fact is he has pushed the sport further than anyone ever has. That half-pipe was built so he could create new tricks without anyone else knowing/trying to steal them.

Oh yeah I know why they built it for him and don't begrudge him or criticise - it just means he is always going to be ahead of his contemporaries as he has such a massive massive advantage being able to do that.
