Interesting comments from Holbrook:

“The Broncos are definitely keen, 100 per cent,

I know ‘Kevvie’ (Walters) has been ringing him and has been talking to him.

He’s allowed to do that. Dave is off-contract, so that’s fine, the Broncos are entitled to talk to him.

I’m hearing mixed reports (on Brisbane’s interest)."

I changed my vote to yes. He played his best footy at the Broncos and is tight with a lot of the players. So long as we don't screw our cap, then fine. Maybe we fix up a package to get his partner away from the Dragons to Broncos, pay her more and him less.

I do agree we can't judge him based on what he did for the Titans, they paid a ridiculous amount of money for him and only a fool would have knocked it back.

The real question is where does he really want to play? I know for us before he went to the Titans, he really wanted to play for us based on some of his efforts.

Penrith's sets are good not just because of who is running the ball but who they're running at. It's all very calculated and everyone knows who needs to make two tackles in a row who needs to make the third tackle so that will leave Reynolds on his own. We need him at marker so Cleary can kick it or Edwards can stream through the middle.

Nothing ad hoc about it.
When I hear things like this it amazes me that it isn’t the bare minimum at all clubs.

It’s like the towel thing. How tf is that a unique thing.

Titans spinning the rhetoric so that when they sign him for $1m a year they once again beat the Broncos and are a more attractive club for players.

Holbrook has come and said we can't afford him, how the heck would he know what we can and can't afford? From his comments, he really appears to look worried and somewhat panicking. Watch this space, I suspect Fifita might be in the cooling off period, just an educated hunch.

He means at titans prices and he’s right.

Kev's comments when asked about Fifita were abit different than his normal.
Which adds to your hunch, he knows more than he's telling

Holbrook is one of the next coaches to get the sack I reckon, of course he doesn't want his best players leaving the joint, that would be near the end for him as the coach of that team.

I don't think the Titans signed Fifita to be the bloke to turn that club around, it was just something the fans needed so they could be excited about something. No club would sign a forward (edge or middle) as a means to turn a shit team into a good team.

Idk how his club is meant to be in a better position cap wise when they’re dropping insane cash on 50 year old halves and rorter rejects

I won't mind seeing Payne and David backing each other up over 20 or 30 meters on the third or fourth.

We lost over $1 million of players the last couple days ... how much does he think we'll be offering Fifita.

We're not called the Titans you know

To expand on what I said: I just don't see the appeal of a player like Dave Fifita, I get he has insane ability when he is on but we can all see his mentality is weak as ****, he is the Staggs of forwards without the defensive intent. where the **** is he half the games he plays?

We already fucked up by letting Herbie go to cater for Staggs(who is playing in his preferred centre side), who would we have to send packing to get this guy back.

We already have bundles of strike players, he might be mates with Haas and some might think it would help keep him, but Haas is a completely different type of player, he might be on the greedy side(likely to help his basket case family who probably put huge pressure on the guy) but you can never fault Payne for effort he bleeds for the jersey, this guy on the other hand is just soft.

If we want to get a special forward, Tino is clearly the answer, imagine how good we would be if we got him with Carrigan and Haas in the team, the comp would fold for us.

I bet there isn't a single day Storm don't think what if when Tino left him.
