Origin has always been won up front. Now we don't have a front.

I don't understand. NSW have fucked up multiple times over the years by not picking enough specialist props. Not only are we doing the same but we have picked even less than we did in game 1!!!

I love Gillett but I hope I'm not out of line by hoping he gets the flu so that Kennedy gets a spot in the 17.

I still think we'll win, but Mal has made it bloody difficult for the big fellas. I wish we could know the reasons behind selections, they can't be that stupid.

scumbag QLD selectors. QLD struggle to make metres up middle of ruck, select less props.

But Sammy T in the back row is good news.

it really is a baffling selection.

i like both mcqueen and gillett but is there really need for both of them in the team?

dce's inclusion is also interesting, but i can back it. he plays tough and is deceptively strong so we wont lose anything in defense when he gets on.

i think 100% hannant should of been there. shillo and harrison out is fairly no brainer but its going to be very tough for myles and matt scott (scott hasnt even been that good this year).

where does the go forward come from after 25 mins? teo papalii and gillett all play on the edges? how will cronk and thurston get ANY quality ball if we cant bend their line back?

if qld win Myles or Parker probably gets MoM.

we did get very lucky by having 3/4 of the team select itself for the last 7 years. the QLD selectors have always been idiots.

Slater, Inglis, Cronk, Thurston, Lockyer, Price, Civoniceva, Hodges (due to lack of good centre options and reputation mainly), Myles, Scott, Harrison, Smith all were automatic picks, and nearly all are/were among the best players in their positions. filling the gaps with solid players isnt the hardest job in the world, yet the selectors have still gotten it wrong over the years.

matt scott (scott hasnt even been that good this year).
someone hasnt been watching cowboys games this year. hes single handedly been carrying the whole team pretty much all year.

Should have had Papalli starting and Hannant in the team instead of McQueen. 1 actual prop in the team is not a smart thing to do.

The way I see it once Scott and Myles need a break Thaiday shifts to the front row with Te'o to the backrow then Parker to the front row as well with Gillett in the backrow. Lots of changes.

Ideally McQueen gets injured during the week or the flu so Kennedy comes in. But really, Hannant not even 18th man?

yeah fair enough. i've only seen one of their games. i didnt think he was very good in game 1 origin, so made an assumption.

Will be very interesting to see how DCE is used, would you replace Cronk or Thurston if QLD were behind or the scores are close when in Origin that is always the case?

i think he'll come on for mcqueen (or whoever else is smallest in the back row) and just play a utility role.

Wow just wow, we have lost our way in the selection room. We have proven how to win Origin with the talent we have. Make sure we go forward and let our spine do the rest instead we emulate a losing tactic that NSW used last year and pick a thousand backrowers and a utility who can't be used (without weakening the side ) unless there is an injury.

Just dumb, instead of making them match us we try and match them. How the **** do they think they can get Cherry Evans onto the field?

Only 2 specialist props in game 1. How do we fix it? Only bring 1 into game 2! Gotta love the logic of subbing a front rower with a "fresh" player who has already played about 20 mins of the game.

I'm glad DCE and Papalli are in the side, but we need at least Hannant or Shillo off the bench too.
