Over on league unlimited forums this morning, a poster who claims to regularly talk to Milford has said that Milford has decided to take the Raiders offer.

I love how these idiots thing we would believe that they are such close friends that they would confide in them, yet they immediately post this on a forum lol

For reference:

Milford is sticking with Canberra. That's from the horse's mouth.

Been watching this thread for a while now, but refused to comment, even when I knew "nee" had his mind set on the broncos. I speak to him regularly and he indicated to me (before the wc) that he's going to accept the Canberra offer.

I went to his brother's 21st on Saturday and everyone seems to think the same.

I'd be extremely embarrassed if it isn't true. However, he has had a lot more reasons to go with the broncos and I would've loved to see him there (I'm not a Broncos fan), but it is what it is.

Because he wants to be around his family and friends and he gets bored in Canberra. Plus he says players are dreading being coached by Stuart. Some of the players in the Samoan squad have also given him insight into what it's like under Stuart. He hasn't heard anything positive yet.

Having said that, he still told me Canberra.

Go over for a laugh sometimes...
I can relate:laugh:

on that poster from LU I don't believe any of it, the Milf parts or the Ricky parts, despite what fans think of him his ex players tend to speak very highly of him

It's obviously true, I mean he is an anonymous person on the internet, why would he lie... And as he said he will be very embarrassed if he is wrong... you know, so embarrassed he will have to create another anonymous account...

Just scored a try (in the replay) through the middle for Samoa when nothing was happening. Man he has amazing footwork.

Not sure if this is any worth, but the following was included in an article from the courier mail yesterday saying Wally Lewis endorsed Barba for 5/8th.

Think this might mean Milford has signed for 2015, but if you think different.

The line was:

"While Ben Hunt will get first crack at halfback, his partner remains uncertain as the Broncos await a decision on whether the Raiders will formally release boom rookie Anthony Milford.Should Milford be forced to sit out the season, Barba is a possible solution."

Why would Milford have to "sit out" the season if he resigned with Canberra.

If you guys want the link to the story, here it is:

I think there are more signs that he'll be a Bronco vs stay a Raider, but this could still go either way.

Ricky Stuart is a stubborn fool. He'd offer Milford $3m a season if it meant not admitting defeat.

It is very frustrating.

Please avoid copy pasting whole articles with all the hyperlinks and junk, looks terrible on the eyes, it's best to just quote the important parts using the quote bubble button on top of where you type a post and include a link to the post. I've fixed up your post for you.

The part you highlighted means nothing at all, and by "sitting out" it means if the Raiders refuse to release him and he doesn't want to play for the Raiders then he'll be forced to just sit out the season. That's a big if and there's lots of bridges to cross before that would ever happen.

This still has a long way to go.

Unless one party concedes and he either stays in Canberra or the Raiders agree to release him.

If they both stand their ground, could be a very drawn out process.

I had zero interest in this saga due to the lack of confirmed information available. Milford's starting to win me over though with some of his performances. Terrific speed and footwork. He would be a massive coup if the Broncos signed him. It might even restore some faith in the management of the club.

I'm still so unsure about this.. I've gone through stages where I thought he was 100% re-signing with Canberra and stages where he was 100% coming to Brisbane.. it's still 50/50 for mine, I can guarantee you the only person who knows what he's doing is Anthony himself.

Even then, Ricky's given him a million reasons to change his mind.

Moneytalks and there is still every possibility that Milford will resign with the Raiders. This one is 50/50 and I sure as hell can't wait for it to be over.

Well someone is bluffing in terms of the clause in his contract.

Ayoub says they must release him, Raiders say it has to be mutual.

and I tend to believe that one of the games top (and sliest) player managers wouldn't put a clause in a players that stated the clause would be mutual. That makes absolutely no sense and completely cancels out the point of having the clause in the first place.
