I think this will be the side in Round 1.

Copley could get back in the side. It will depend on whether he has shown improvement in the areas Bennett said he needed to improve in.

At the moment, Reed is the most likely option for that left centre position.

I'd have Joe O over Wallace and Thaiday in the starting side. Glenn can come off the bench. Thaiday can essentially act as a third prop when we want to get it out of our end quickly.

I think Gavet will come back via the ISC and I agree that he will doubtless feel he owes the club something. I hope his recovery is almost complete as we have been a bit short in the forwards and we will want to start next year with McGuire, Gavet and Blair firing . Those three will probably fit the perfect model for season 2016 as they are mid range 2015 forwards. I don't mean in ability but in dimension. Should we do well Parker may drop a bombshell and retire before 2016 starts, he's certainly earned a rest.

Team for 2016

We've lost a lot of our depth this year what addittions do people think should be made.

In my opinion, looking at broncos affiliated clubs we should sign:

Templeman seems to have talent would be a good backup utility can play halves or fullback

Frei, has some nrl experience with us i believe and has been playing well in qld cup. 3rd for courier mail medal.

Anthony cherrington used to be the next best thing before he fell off the map has nrl experience. Didnt think he woulf make a succesful return and haven't seen him play but made team of the year on a poor dolphins team.

The 2x forwards will cover staggs returement and templeman the loss of taylor and nikorima. We would also need to find ourselves another decent (big) prop imo.

I'm sure some of them will be there and a few new faces like Jaydn S'ua will get a taste but even then, the Broncos will be light in a number of positions.

I wonder if we'll see players like Patrick Templeman, Josh Cleeland and Tyson Cleal receive an invite?

I'd put Oates in the centres. Back row in a few years. Experience in the centres would add a lot to his game in the back row, not to mention that for mine, he would make an awesome centre.

Thaiday just confirmed on the Footy Show that he's signed a 3-year extension. Good news, assuming that he plays like he has this year. With Bennett at the helm, motivation shouldn't be an issue.

$1.2m over 3 years apparently, pretty reasonable I guess considering the cap will be going up. I'm guessing that's the last of our spare cap room for next season goneskies, hopefully after next season we'll have a little bit more to work with (I think we stop paying Barba & co. after next year)
