Maybe that's why we haven't announced the Benji signing officially just yet, if we sign Napa for 2018 and the Roosters decided to release him early, we may need that extra $150,000 cap space to bring him on board.

I think the only reason why we havent announced Benji is Wayne probably wants to be in the country when it happens.

True, that might be it, Wayne should be back by early night week, assuming England don't beat us to make the Finals.

Just on the ball-hog debate...

If we're comparing Milford & Norman in terms of who is most likely to run the ball, Milford (33% of the time) trumps Norman (19% of the time) easily. It makes sense, Milford is a stronger runner of the football who is more likely to break tackles, effect line-breaks and score tries than Norman. In terms of actually passing the football, they both throw it around the same amount of time (63%) with Norman being a little more likely (62.74% v Milford's 62.5%).

Going in, I had a similar view as Marty for a number of reasons. Firstly, Milford is a more effective passer of the football creating more line-breaks 21-6. Even if you take into account Norman's suspension and Milford's two extra post-season games, Milford was more likely to create opportunities through the hands. Another reason for the perception is because Norman calls for the ball more often than Milford (52-40 possession a game, Norman). However, this is because Norman was the primary kicker for the Eels last season and despite playing 10 less games than Milford easily produced more kicks (212) than Milford (141). It's also worth noting that Kieran Foran's involvements were healthy with an average of around 40 a game.

What would be interesting would be to see past figures to see what variances have occurred over the year. I'd be surprised if Norman's pass ratio hasn't increased in the Eels system where they tend to promote the football more than the old Broncos scheme under Hook.

I don't see the Te'o signing happening personally, He is starting his international rugby union career making his debut for England against South Africa, take a lot of incentive for him to come back to league IMO.

Hopefully Te'o is a contingency plan if Napa says no, the "rumour" is that Napa will be touring the Broncos facilities when he gets back from holidays next week, so we should know within a fortnight if he plans on staying at the Roosters or not.

He is pushing 30 and nobody is going to pay him top dollar to come back to League. The year wouldn't be complete without a Te'o rumour, one would think that he was superstar or something close. I don't remember him having those qualities.

He was one of the bigger contributers to Souffs premiership in 2014 IMO.

Marty, I have had a run-in or two with Unbreakable, but you did misread his post. He was comparing Milford to Norman, not Hoffman. And it was a valid point he was making.
Ahhh my mistake! But i still don't see milford as a ball hog! :)

I agree but that was more than two years ago, most of his Bronco career were pretty disappointing. I wouldn't protest if he came back because he gives everything he has but to give up a decent contract in Union to returning to an uncertain future in RL would seem a touch silly.

Lol what, Hoffman will be in the centres and Norman is a perfectly good Five-Eighth in terms of ball playing to running ratio, he's no more of a hog than Milford.. Not that I'm looking to defend his decision if he does decide to move on, but that argument would be at the bottom of the list for not going to Parra.

I know. I was looking for any excuse for him not to go there. But truth is we have no power in stopping hunt if he's already decided to go.

I know youre trolling ... but if Wayne was seriously considering releasing Hunt because we signed Marshall, then he should be put in a insane asylum.

And it doesn't matter which prop we also sign.
