Glenn: We are the coach now

Hopefully they can coach themselves to be better players.

Great....

The fucking lunatics have taken over the asylum....

So glad Siebs worked out how to run training for our beloved club from the MacDonalds drive through...

Well this news prompted me to get some cash on the Broncos. Lots of multis💲💰💰💰💰💰💰💲With the group publicly taking ownership I am optimistic. Not too sure about wanting to play Milfordball because I don't know what that is but I think I can trust Glenn to get us going.

I think I might have $50 on the Broncos to win the premiership from here. Yes, I know it cannot happen but what if we could sneak into eighth? I could then safely back against them and hope they kept winning! Afterall, we are only two games out of the eight! Likely to get a refund if the season is suspended.

Coach is over the moon, he's got his excuse sorted for this week. It wasn't me, it was the players.

Okay, I am not trying to be clever here but your last word should be 'tack' if you mean Seibold should change direction. I've seen tact used several times on here by others and it is often confused. I'm genuinely not trying to be offensive 👼

I'm sick of your lack of tack!

He should be preparing his excuses as to why Milf can coach the team to a win yet he cant.

Yeah but that won't happen. You can just imagine it. "Yeah we just thought (scratches arm) the players ahh you know wanted to ahh you know help embed my plans and ahh you know (scratches arm), its good they sort of you know ahrm did it, so (scratches arm) I think we've turned the corner. Alright, cheers."

It's well worth watching Glenn in the pre game presser for this week.
It sounds like training up to this week has been a burden on the boys, no one is happy, mucking around etc. Glenn saying this week has been great as players have dictated how they want to train and play on Saturday.
Reference Milford a few times and the team wanting to play the style that Milford wants to play rather then the coach making Milford play a certain way or with structure.
Super interesting, and shows there is very much a divide between the players and the coaching staff as well as game plans and tactics.
If I were Seibold, I'd be having a good hard look at myself especially now that the captain has come out publically and stated they are finally happy at training again and happy to be around each other.
It all seems to come down to Seibold and the playing group not buying what he is selling.

I don't see how this can continue. If the boys are not happy with Seibold's methods, game plans, training etc (and it is certainly showing on field) then I don't know how he survives.

Credit to Seibold for allowing this to happen but the **** needs to go. This is just cements how fucking awful he is.

Pies gave his consent - or gave the 'fine, do what you want'?

I for one hope they absolutely smash the doggies now - this might actually trigger real change with this out in the media.

So basically the players want to go back to how Wayne coached them. **** this looks bad for Seibold. If we come out and pump the bulldogs it arguably looks worse for him than a narrow loss.
Quite possibly, but if this leads to a sustained improvement I can imagine a world where he spins this so he looks like the genius.

It's wonderful theatre.

It seems to me that you have a coach who isn't trying to be the smartest person in the room but is simply flailing, the switching between different fad coaching tactics and the delivery of the same old dogs breakfast on the field doesn't appear to be working well.

The retention of Boyd and Milford and the dropping/not dropping of Oates and Isaako is perplexing, could it just be a case of the teacher who can't discipline his class properly? The kids with the high status in the group including Boyd receive preferential treatment as the teach is also trying to be part of the cool group, or doesn't have the confidence to make a truly bold call and hence be seen as 100% responsible for poor results?

That's mind reading as I don't know, baffling to watch from the outside and the speak from the coach is all waffle.. Anyway go the Broncs and I hope they score 50 this weekend!

The bloke can't win. Whatever works I reckon.
He literally can't win :)

I would feel more confident if there was a history of success there to fall back on, say perhaps a premiership win somewhere, but the Broncos are now part of an ongoing experiment to see if this might one day.. actually work!

I'm optimistic about it tbh. It certainly seems that Seibs is very specific in how he wants things done and so rigid that he refuses to change what isn't working because he believes it should. This could be a turning point for him...showing him that not every player can be coached the same. What worked for one group of players may not necessarily work for another. It's said by the best that coaches are constantly learning and this might be his most needed lesson. This will make or break this team I think.

Its either boom or bust for sure, but the public media notification will not be helping anyones cause at the club. This media statement has effectively just said the coach doesnt know what hes dealing with and we as the players know better.....a concern for me.
