Broncos 2021 Fullback = Tamika Upton?

As much as I am not a Boyd fan, your comment reflects just how brainwashed people are today.

By merely comparing men and women's sport as anywhere near equal is about as ridiculous as you can get.

I'll give you one example. Did you know that the women's world record for 100m has stood for over 25 years (Florence Griffith-Joyner) at 10.49 seconds.

Typically, hundreds of school boys under 16 break that mark every year - year in-year out.

And as we know, the world champion women's soccer team (which received so much fanfare in the press) was beaten by an under 15 boys team in their preparation.

Women aren't even in the ballpark (so to speak) when it comes to high-level sports performance.
I totally agree with you. However, put Amanda Nunes in the octagon against any top 10 male UFC fighter in her weight class and I would bet it's a pretty good fight.

Cody Garbrandt would destroy her in round one. As would Frankie Edgar, Jose Aldo and Dominic Cruz. It would be brutal. And that's not to mention current champion Petr Yan:

Please. Cody has a glass jaw - Amanda would KO him in round 1. Edgar would be a better fight and he would probably dominate her on the ground. Aldo is not the same since USADA and is too small these days. Cruz would be too quick for her for sure.

I dont care about any of the arguments above.
I just like watching the girls play. They are fucking good and tough to boot.
Also love the style of footy they play without the focus on who can cheat the best .
Exactly, I said the same thing to my wife when we watched the game last week, and they don't dive for penalties, not so far anyway

Don't follow UFC much but I thought I would check out a few recent fights of hers, she is one brutal bitch alright, but nah, she would get hammered by any top 10 male UFC fighter in her weight class I reckon, only areas that I can think of where females can compete and beat males is in camel racing and horse racing, although a couple of females have competed pretty successfully against men in motor racing.

Some blokes just can't handle feeling feminine seeing chicks do things that would break them I guess haha.

Nah ... just don't like lies. It is a LIE and UNTRUE to suggest that any woman would compare to any man in rugby league terms.

I don't watch it because its boring. Slow. Sub-standard.

Sure ... watch i for what it is ... but comparisons are laughable.

Thinking that you can compare ... well ... the brainwashing from Hollywood has been epic. Showing women beating up men continually in films, over-time this actually affects people's thinking. They lose touch with reality.

I'm happy to concede this ... I once played a game of touch football against a team that was full of Queensland representative players. We got done! But we had several 50 year olds in the team, and teenagers, and people who had barely played.

I always thought Serena Williams could have beaten a guy like Lleyton Hewitt who didn’t have any power in his game.

Another event dubbed a "Battle of the Sexes" took place during the 1998 Australian Open[56]between Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters. Venus and Serena Williams had claimed that they could beat any male player ranked outside the world's top 200, so Braasch, then ranked 203rd, challenged them both. Braasch was described by one journalist as "a man whose training regime centered around a pack of cigarettes and more than a couple of bottles of ice cold lager".[57][56] The matches took place on court number 12 in Melbourne Park,[58] after Braasch had finished a round of golf and two shandies. He first took on Serena and after leading 5–0, beat her 6–1. Venus then walked on court and again Braasch was victorious, this time winning 6–2.[56]Braasch said afterwards, "500 and above, no chance". He added that he had played like someone ranked 600th in order to keep the game "fun"[59] and that the big difference was that men can chase down shots much easier and put spin on the ball that female players can't handle. The Williams sisters adjusted their claim to beating men outside the top 350.[56]

Both Williams sisters got hammered by a 203rd ranked male player. Lleyton was world no.1 at one point. She wouldn't have stood a chance.

Damn. Surely there’s a woman somewhere that’s better than or could beat a man in their chosen sport.

I’ve heard they go alright at rock climbing but I haven’t looked into it

edit: I should point out I thought you were asking for a sport where a woman is the best in the world not just beating average pro males. I think ultramarathons have seen women place pretty high.

It’s quite an interesting argument for genetics and biology, nature/nurture.

I’d say there’s as much a chance of a biological woman being the best at any athletic sport in the world as there is a chance a biological man giving birth.

Could a woman compete in the nrl? Yes (I’ve revised my assessment to amber hall, she a beast) could she be the best? No, not a chance.

just like she-man can never have a baby.

You're almost there........

The answer is no.....no she can't.

If Brodie Croft can jump out of the way of taumalolo then so can Amber Hall 😆😆
Could a woman survive a game of NRL, possibly. Could she compete? No.

All male halves can kick/ pass further, all forwards can run harder/have more strength, all wingers can jump higher/run faster, all centres are faster/tackle harder/fend stronger, all fullbacks are more evasive/run harder than any of their female counterparts.

The very best female players may (though I doubt it) be better than some of the very worst fringe male players but that definitely doesn’t count as being able to “compete” in the NRL.

Look what happens average NRL players go to the Super League, they become marque players. Now think about how higher the standard of footy is in the super league than the WNRL. An average Super League player would look like ‘09 Hayne in the women’s league.

Is there a world vacuuming championship?
