He's not the problem, the same way Herbie and Reynolds aren't.

It's 1000% the coaching. Any coach worth his salt would have a team with our talent at least at top 8 level, instead we look like wooden spooners again.

We have the team to compete week in week out, we just don't have the coach.
I really wanted Kevvie to succeed but nothing has changed from the Seibold days. Everything is exactly the same.

In some ways we are worse. Honestly that was the most inept attacking display I've seen in my time watching rugby league. I can't remember threatening the line even once, just one arsey grubber by reynolds for a try.

Workload withstanding, Payne's runs have never seemed to correlate with points. We need to change something.
Just on Payne,

MIght be Unpopular opinion but i think sometimes the way he takes his runs actually hurts the momentum of this team. He is obsessed with standing up and not falling to the ground which results in the defense just holding him up for eternity while the defensive line resets..

In this day and age i actually think quick play the balls is more important then slowing inching out 3-5 metres carrying blokes on your back.

He needs to change is game to match jt13 who loves to run hard and actually get to the ground for a quick play the ball.

Dont get me wrong payne is an impressive footballer but carrying 3-4 blokes on your back while slowing moving another 5m up field is only really good when your coming out of your 20.

He still young so hopefully he will learn when to carry blokes and when to barge and drop for a quick play because atm the way he plays the game is not helping the broncos at all

No, he's not. But his high workload that never seems to correlate with anything tangible is a sign of a team without a rudder.

We’ve even turned one of the games elite halfbacks into doing bonehead plays. Wasn’t he known for long kicking to the corners?

we’re still relying on haas producing ridiculous one out plays. Still relying on Cory Oates carrying the metres on his Zimmer frame. Still turning over way too much ball.

Watch Nui's efforts in the tries scored no effort at all to get there, Cobbo goes over the sideline that last time because Nui is running sideways.. it's time to put Herbie or Mead at 1 and chase Walsh.
I love Cobbo but his hands are really letting him down big time.
Staggs no good again it's a attitude nothing to do with confidence.
Dumb time but maybe it's time to inject Ezra we have absolutely no spark out there at all.
The same team can't be picked next week changes need to be made

Payne's entire modus seems to be based around an arm wrestle with him trying to tire the defence, rather than opening up gaps in the defensive line to put other players through, or making them hurt. I never see opponents limping away from him or his teammates dashing through off his shoulder.

All his work amounts to very little other than statistics.

I'm not blaming him. I'm blaming whoever's coaching him to play like this.

Think they may be a tough criticism. Taking 3-4 guys to tackle does pull them out of the line. We just can't shift the ball to the sides quick enough. Also potential for an offload the longer he stands in tackles(though he's not much of an offloader).

He was our best player last three games last year… not a lot to hang his hat on…

Because he wanted to prove his worth to other teams, not ours. I’m saying if he had put in all of last year and got fit he would have been useful this year.
