2017 Line-up

I hope Salesi Funaki gets a run this year.

What position best for kodi nikorima? Can he play hooker or halfback full time? How many time player can rotate from bench this year? If it's only 6 time bench rotation, do Broncos need utility player on bench?
Kodi might be struggling to land a first grade spot this year with Benji tipped to secure the utility role.

Depends how Benji goes if that's the case. Benji could play Kodi onto the bench.

I don't think Funaki will get a run too many players in front of him.

That's exactly what I want Kodi to do at least to see how he fares. If he is a gun half he should smash it in ISC.

I'm sure he would go well in the ISC.

The problem is, he will go well as a running half.

He looks big and strong. He did a few great carries against the Sharks. Plus I like his aggresion

Let's be honest, you just want him cause he looks like a menace! I can't see it happening unless we get hit hard with injury.

It would have to be an injury toll of gigantic proportions as he is well down the queue. He played off the bench most of the season in ISC. He looks super fit and strong but obviously he isn't up to standard yet.

REDCLIFFE have won the Intrust Super Cup race for Benji Marshall.
Brisbane’s reserve-grade affiliates were given their 2017 player allocations on Wednesday and it has been confirmed that Marshall is assigned to the reigning minor premiers.
There was a big battle for the services of the star playmaker, with Redcliffe, Ipswich and Wynnum all expressing interest late last year.
Redcliffe CEO Grant Cleal did not return calls from The Courier-Mail yesterday but conceded the Dolphins had Marshall for the season ahead through a one word text: “Confirmed”.
It is understood the club fought hard to stave off a strong bid from Wynnum in recent weeks.

Marshall is aiming to win a spot on the bench for Brisbane.
It is not yet clear how much game time Marshall will get with the Dolphins, but he could be with the Broncos for the first few rounds of the year.
The 31-year-old is battling it out with utility Kodi Nikorima for a bench spot, but Nikorima only returned to contact training late last month following off-season shoulder surgery.
Nikorima has also been spending parts of training with the fringe first-graders while Marshall has been with the NRL team.
Marshall admitted earlier this year that he was prepared for all possibilities.
“The phone hasn’t stopped going,” Marshall said about the reserve grade interest.
“My immediate goal is not to end up playing there but there’s a fair chance that could happen.
“I want to have a fun year and if that’s playing in that grade, then it is.”
Elsewhere, Ipswich had a big win after earning back the services of Joe Ofahengaue and Marion Seve while Souths Logan acquired monster centre Tautau Moga.
Norths have been given Korbin Sims while Wynnum have Mitchell Dodds back following his stint in the Super League.
Meanwhile, sacked Tigers prop Matt Lodge will make his comeback to rugby league on Saturday night when he debuts for Redcliffe in a trial against the Sunshine Coast.
Mogg said Lodge will “definitely” be playing, although it is expected he will only feature in the second half.
It will be Lodge’s first game back since he was charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and assault and menace for stalking two women and assaulting a man in New York in 2015.
The match is the curtain-raiser to the NRL trial between the Storm and Warriors.
