Andrew Johns named eighth immortal

Fair enough Big Pete so who ,in that case is culpable. Should we say then if Wayne Bennett knew why did he not speak up.....??is he not guilty if he knew ??? as should all of those who knew this 'secret' ??? my previous post covers that..just because you suspect does not give you the right to act and that includes his EMPLOYERS

Wayne had enough on his plate than to start a crusade against an opposition player.

Tallis allegedly spoke up about it on the 2000 World Cup tour and nothing was done.

I'd say the NRL knew but turned a blind eye due to Johns' profile. Code was still in damage control and they were concerned about the ramifications such an announcement would have.

People seldom misunderstand what I have written, they just misconstrue it because they wish to argue. No problem with that although I thought my position was clear enough. The sentence could have been misunderstood but the context would have made it clear. So where are the contradictions champ ??

no draggx..no comparison but Coxy knows EXACTLY what I mean. You don't throw shit when you don't know for absolute certain. In other words you DO NOT ACCUSE people for wrongdoing unless you absolutely know they have sinned.

We do know he has sinned. WTF are you going on about

forget it broncos4life..it's personal. Coxy knows but you do not need to know.

Concerning Johns. So many people knew,so few acted even someone whom I admire in WB. That's why I find it hard to blame his employers because there was tacit approval from even people like WB and the NRLs highest office

Wasn't Wayne's obligation to blow the whistle on Johns.

Employers were responsible for setting lenient drug tests that Johns kept continually pre-empting.

All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing..burke

So you're suggesting the rival coach of not only Johns' club side but Origin side should have stuck his neck out and launched a personal campaign against said players drug habit?

Forget it CF, it's Chinatown.

No,I'm not suggesting that at all. It is a difficult thing to be absolute about. Just that there are many factors when deciding that 'something' should have been done when this 'poorly kept secret' was common knowledge. I do not blame anyone in particular, that is beyond my wisdom.

You could start by blaming Andrew Johns I guess. Then blame the media for allowing him to actually be rewarded by it.

No..CF=Huge.....you remember, the one who dared to suggest Danny Nutley was good enough to play Origin three years before he was finally selected....and was 100% correct

and I did blame Andrew Johns...young immature stupid kid he was when he started playing up

Or blame the employers who continually set lenient drug tests.

And the authorities who enabled them.

But dispite him taking the drugs, we should turn a blind eye and reward him?

I don't want to know. Although I find it weird to post something you don't want others to know on a public forum...
