Marsh is looking like a genius selection at 6.
This is what happens when you pick on form.
Are you Crackers’ son?
Three 50’s are form?

63, 92, 52 in the space of 3 FC games is pretty good form, especially when he was coming off several 50's in the ODI comp the week before the FC season. I don't know if you've figured this out yet, but we picked the 3 "questionable" spots purely on who scored the most 50's / runs in the first 3 FC games.
Bancroft vs Renshaw - Bancroft (2x 50's, 1x 100) most runs
Marsh vs Cartwright vs Maxwell vs Lehmann - Marsh (3x 50's) most runs
Paine vs Wade vs Nevill vs Carey - Paine (2x 50's) most runs
50’s aren’t form. Our standards really are low if we are in awe of 50’s.
Bancroft was in form. For me 50’s are getting by.
Great work today though.
I'm in the same boat, a few more innings like that and he will win me over...I’m a Shawn Marsh hater but credit where it is due, well done.
Australia waiting for it to get a bit darker or something? We don't really need our bowlers out there facing the bouncer barrage..
Only 2 teams have lost after scoring 409+ in the first innings of an Adelaide Test Match. One was England in 2006, the other was Australia (vs India) in 2003.
So they purposely waited to get over 409?Only 2 teams have lost after scoring 409+ in the first innings of an Adelaide Test Match. One was England in 2006, the other was Australia (vs India) in 2003.
He's such a weapon, England better look out if he can get some in swing goingScorching first over from Starc.
Marsh shouldn't be there, let's not act like he should. That said, he is there and he has played a fine innings that deserves credit. Still doesn't mean he should be there.
