How is that, "sooking it up"? He's taking responsibility for his and the teams' poor performances. The quotes were taken the day after the players got the news. Of course it'll be a shock to the kid.

Oh please harden the f... up Hunt. His last 2 games have been very ordinary and he is not a fn kid he has been in the NRL for 4 years pull your head out of the sand. This is a team game not time to stand around and kick the dirt. White should of had some balls last year and give HOOK the HOOK.

FFS, the guy likes his coach and at the TIME of his sacking, he took responsibility and ownership of the teams performances, IMO, it shows maturity and a desire to improve on his part ... players are human and are allowed to be disappointed when their coach is sacked.

Hayne has had a couple of poor weeks this year as well

That play last night where Hunt was on the right edge, dummie'd to the right to Thaiday, then passed inside to Hoffman who went straight through a gap, then passed back inside to Thaiday for a try - reminds me so much of Lockyer/Hunt circa 2008~. And he's still in his first season as a Halfback... Yummo.

I also thought, when we really needed Hunt to step up and take control of the game last night at around the 65 minute mark, his kicking game was superb. He had some good help from McCullough, who made 2 crucial kicks himself, but Hunt's kicking game last night was the best I've seen it all season. Kicking right into the corners and the chase was top notch.

That right there really put the Dogs away, IMO.

Geez some people on here are fickle. Hunt has a good start to the season, sign him for life. Hunt has a few bad games, get ride of him and chase DCE. Hunt has another good game, give him the DallyM.

Give the guy a break. This is his first full season at halfback. He's done exceptionally well imo. He's going to have a few bad games here and there. It takes a while for playmakers to become consistently good and work out what options to take each play.

I only wish he'd been given a shot at halfback earlier and not been used as an interchange hooker. He's probably 4-5 years behind where he should be at this point due to those decisions.
