My point is that a proud and passionate Queensland player wanted to call a game off and no Blues player has ever said that. Gordie said it because he was frusrated that he was behind 2-0. If found the quote out of the "Hereos of Origin" magazine from last year, it's a great read.

Reminds me of NSW players not wanting to play Origin for years and not taking it seriously till at least the mid 80's.

I've now watched all 3 games from the 2000 series on the ultimate Origin collection pack. QLD should have won the 1st game, NSW blew QLD away in the return encounter and the 3rd game is a canetoad bashing. Miss watching you Girds I loved watching you play.

Josh Dugan - Great attacking fullback. He's got the speed, power and confidence

Brett Morris - Best winger in the world

Michael Jennings - Brilliant attacking player

Josh Morris - Great allround center in defence and attack

Nathan Merritt - Awesome finisher

James Maloney - Outstanding on debut, great game reading ability and is a sharp shooter

Mitchell Pearce - Solid halfback impossible to break past

Paul Gallen - Easily the best forward in the world

Robbie Farah - Great hooker with a high work-rate and attacking skills

Aaron Woods- Beast of a player been the Tigers best since the start of last year

Ryan Hoffman - Sensational since rejoining the Storm and will be ready to rip into QLD

Luke Lewis - Great player what else can I say. Easily the best on the field in Game 1

Greg Bird - Made for Origin, tough and never takes a backward step

Andrew Fifita - Amazing player to have off the bench and to think the tigers let go of him for dud Blair

Trent Merrin - Been awesome for the Dragons and is extremely skillfull.

Anthony Watmough - Outstanding player

The way I see it, that's how it's supposed to be. Both sides and their fans should hate one another during the Origin period, it makes for a much better event. As long as it doesn't cross the line, everything else said is fair go.
