Roberts shifts to the wing during games in attack I have noticed. He won't be any less valueable if he shifts from centre to wing. If anything he'll get more touches of the ball.

1. Jamayne Isaako
2. Corey Oates
3. Darius Boyd
4. Jack Bird
5. James Roberts

That has to be our strongest back 5..

I'll bet you we don't move Robert's to the wing for the foreseeable future.

You're probably right, we won't. Whether we should or not is an entirely different thing. I want Boyd to stay at left centre and obviously want to hold on to Oates and the wing is the only place I'd have him seeing as we are stacked in the backrow.. I also don't want Bird any other position than centre.. Which can only mean Roberts moves to wing. Having the fastest winger in the competition doesn't sound bad.

Still not convinced about Issako at fullback yet. He's solid enough, but he still pretty much plays fullback like he did in ISC at the moment.

We will have to see what the mastercoach wants to do with Bird. Still sure he wants him at lock.

Yeah...but Melbourne already has him. Would love to have him though.

I actually don't think Addo Carr is as quick as Jimmy. What I do think he does do better is use sprint training to enhance his speed. Roberts I believe doesn't.

Jimmy has a shocking running technique. With even a little bit of training he'd leave Addo-Carr in his dust.

I wish they had the speed thingy out there for every game. They had it versus the Storm that game, and I think Addo-Carr did hit a higher speed, but I don't think Roberts ever had much of an opportunity to top out. In fact his speed regulation is so good that I genuinely do think he only goes as fast as he had to. Against the Roosters, that break that he makes around Mitchell, he only goes fast enough to get around and stay in front, because if he goes too fast he won't be able to size up and step Tedesco.

The only time I think he's gone close to his top speed is when he chased down that kick of Nikorima's. Would have loved for someone to have been pointing the radar on him for that.
 
Roberts is also at least 10kg heavier than JAC.
 
Roberts doesn't really play like your typical centre, he's got his own style he'd probably just bring to the wing too. I wouldn't mind seeing him there.

Agreed - he only ever seems to go as fast as he needs to.

That game against Storm last year where he took the loose ball, fumbled on his feet a little then took off with Addo-Carr chasing him comes to mind.

He only ever looked like he was doing enough to not get caught, and it’s always easier to run without the ball.
