$400K a year for a 3rd string winger who we don't want, and won't get a single game for us. Jesus fucking christ, that's literally worse than having Boyd run around again. There goes 75% of the money that we were getting from Gillett's retirement. In fact, that makes me think he was pressured to retire because Seibold knew we had this time bomb thrown back in our laps, if Gillett didn't retire there was no way we would've had the funds for Glenn & Oates this season.
 
However, under the terms of his release, Kahu had the option of returning to the Broncos in 2020 if he didn't have another deal or wanted to return.

In other words, he couldn't get a deal anywhere in Union so now he's crawling back to Brisbane to pick up the scraps before his career ends.

So now we have three blokes on probably over a million dollars combine who won't (shouldn't) see a second of FG in 2020 (Boyd, Macca, Kahu)? The **** was the club doing 'releasing' him to a one year deal?

EDIT: It's closer to 1.5mil+. Holy shit.

How did anyone in the broncos agree to this arrangement when the initial release was approved. It seems in every fucking contract negotiation we get the shitty end of the stick. Someone has to be held accountable.

Just when we thought gillett's retirement might provide some relief (if approved by the nrl) and enable us to action some plans, we are hit with this shit show!
 
This is deadset a new low. Whoever rubber stamped this stupid agreement should be sacked immediately. One of the stupidest arrangements I’ve ever heard of.

What I want to know is, did the Broncs actually also foot his bill this season at the Cows? I bet they did, 100% of it.
 
Just appalling. Wish the spineless ***** would have the guts to say that they fucked the situation up and have to wear the consequences rather than saying they are happy to pay $400k for him to hang around at training when we are scrambling for every dollar.
 
Kahu finished the year with a shoulder injury. Send him Gillo’s doctor quick smart.
 
Lucky White is spending another year here to make the transition easier. Heads need to roll. We have literally gone from a powerhouse to a laughing stock. What has happened to us?
 
Actually really starting to think if there was another brisbane team the Broncos would die. They have fucked their fans over too much in the past 10 years and a lot of people in Brisbane already hate them.

The club is a fucking joke.
