Broncos vs Storm Game Thread

I had a dream last night we lost 48 - 1.

Stupid dream

Marsh is a huge loss. We've lacked an organiser of his calibre for some time and the difference has been on show in the first 3 rounds, particularly with Lockyer spending a fair amount of time on the sidelines.

WHAT?!?!? i read in the courier mail yesterday that Marsh and Hodges (and someone else, forget who) missed training but the Broncos said that they weren't in doubt.

Please please play Locky.

I'd already tipped the Storm. This news just confirms my thoughts. They don't lose 3 in a row.

I don't expect a drubbing, it'll be close and the Broncos will be right in it, but the Storm will be that little bit more desperate to win. IMO.

Anyone else getting the feeling these constant "niggling injuries" are actually a ploy - rest two players each week from rounds 3-9, say, and again later in the year.

Like a rotating bye system - Locky/Hunt last week, Marsh/Hodges this week... I must say it would be a pretty decent idea ahead of the rep season.

^ Wouldn't suprise me.

I'm with Coxy too. I've tipped the Storm for this one.

I wish they'd have rotated Kenny for this game.

Now now JW... we're working Kenny on the opposite theory, he doesn't get "niggling injuries"... he get's game time so when we need him at Origin time, he might make a strong impact

Anyone placing bets on who's sitting out next week??

I'll throw a couple of bob on TC to have a "niggling" injury next week. Not sure on the second one, but I think he's due for a week off.

Hopefully another "against the odds" win? [icon_confu

Looks likes Hodges definitely out too

THE Broncos have been hit with an injury double-whammy in the lead-up to the showdown with NRL premiers Melbourne.
In-form centre Justin Hodges and hooker PJ Marsh have been ruled out of the Olympic Park, Melbourne clash tomorrow night.
Skipper Darren Lockyer, who missed last week's impressive win overt he Cowboys also is in doubt but a club spokesman said he was expected to play.

I was thinking the same thing, just odd to hear nothing and close the game key players have pulled out.

Also gives us a chance to sort out depth early in the season by giving our fringe guys a run.

I think Wallace, Ennis and Hunt can do the job.

haha :) thats amazing... i just heard the news on the radio sitting in my office at work and thought the exact same thing. I think they probably have a minor niggle and the coaching staff just let them sit out and rest them for the week. Beating the Storm tomorrow night doesn't win us the Grand Final so no worries resting players.

We've lost our best hooker for the match - reckon Lacey or Te Reo are available!

Edited

I think we might use a guy called Ennis, Andy. [icon_wink

Interesting side though with you raising TeReo's name is that he is playing for Wynnum which means technically I believe we could call on him if we wanted.........but we don't want or need to.........Perry will come in.

Did I miss a post about Dave Talyor being injured or something? I'm flicking through Big League and his name isn't jumping out at me in the QLD Cup team lists... eusa_think
