Broncos withdraw offer for Hunt

He is too old and too slow for fullback now, he does have that speed now and I up against inglis and the likes for the highball at fullback i don't know, I think he's a bit too old for fullbck now, BUT i honeslty don't have a clue he could go very well, but for some reason he is just so good at 5/8 i can't see him benefiting the team more from fullback.

easily keep locky at 5/8. hes the best 5/8 in the world. and the best 5/8 weve seen since the 80s.

I wouldn't move him. No way. I can't even see him or the club wanting to move him tbh.

That's a big call. Lockyer is an awesome player, but I think we was a much better fullback than a 5/8th. Just because Lockyer is a great player, doesn't mean he's a great 5/8th

...yes it does. Lockyer is an amazing 5/8...

Despite his defensive problems I can't think of a 5/8th that compares to Lockyer since Wally.

Yeah ofcourse not, he's an ordinary 5/8 even though any team in the competition and any rep team he would be first chosen at 5/8 and even though he has won a premiership, 3 origins and dominated at international level with that jersey, but anyway lets forget that, lockyer is an average 5/8 for sure.

Are you off your f***ing meds or something? Poor defence... thats about the extent of the negatives to Lockyer at 5/8. His vision, kicking, ball distribution and running game are all amongst the best of ...well, of all time IMO. How you can say he is an "average" 5/8 is beyond me.

Cmon Scotty Lockyer has never been anything more than an Average footballer.

Yeah he's pretty shit. Even at fullback.

Billy Slater is a way better fullback. Lockyer wasn't a fullbacks arse hair.

Exactly. Move slater to 5/8th and it'll prove it. Lockyer is shit all across the park.

At the end of the day, if he wants to leave, then it won't be the end of the Broncos. No man is bigger than the team. Many of the greats have left the broncos before and they have survived, this won't be any different. If he wants to be like many other players and let greed make the decision for him, then we will, in the long run, be better off.

As for losing other players, other teams go through the same process. That is why the salary cap works, and why the competition continues to remain even. I would hate to be back in the days when St George and Souths won premierships over a decade each, just because they were richer and could afford to pay better.

haha I wouldnt cause we would be one of the richest clubs and we would be winning 11 premierships in a row. I could definately handle that and would love to watch the Broncos win premiership after premiership! [icon_evillaugh [icon_evillaugh [icon_evillaugh

I never said he was an average 5/8th, I just questioned the "best 5/8th since the 80s" call.

Geez some of you guys on here can't take a subjective view of things. Most of you seem like you wish you had the chance to be in the toilets at Alhambra Lounge with the team

And yet you have still failed to name a five-eighth who was better than Lockyer post-1990.
