I thought he started off great. But the Footy Show community is as bogan and stupid as it gets, and maybe he just had to sell out to appeal to the dumb masses.

I was in Europe on a tour bus. Before we entered a country, the guide would play the national anthem of that country. When the French one came on, I started singing the Brisbane Lions victory song. Damn near identical.

Regarding the 9 V Fox debate, it's the atmosphere for mine. You can hear when the crowd roars in the 9 telecast which makes the Fox one sound very dull by comparison. The only thing they could do better is bring back Vossy. How much longer is that **** Hadley contracted to 9? I noticed he faded out towards the end of the year.

We need to find or adapt a song. Manly have forever ruined Eagle Rock, St Merge have 'When the Saints Go Marching In', Souths have 'Glory Glory' etc

We need something better than "Let's go ..." as it's not even really a melody or hook so you can't sing along to it and also the lyrics are fucking embarrassing

I don't really care if the play by play guy is a know-it-all or whether he gets the odd name wrong - what I like from them is to bring excitement into the game and I believe Rabs still does that better than most.

Voss is the only one who compares. If they get him to call the Fox GF I may change my mind.

I find JT to be a teeny bit overrated by the QLD press. Don't get me wrong i rate him extremely highly, he is a great player and one of the greats but the press pump him up like he is untouchable and nobody else is close. Personally I think he needs to guide NQL to a premiership before I can put him alongside Lockyer, Langer, Johns, Sterlo, Daley, Fittler etc,

Jarryd Hayne is the best fullback in the world and in the top 3 of the best players in the game..

IMO, he is better than Inglis and Slater. Faster, smarter, better ball player, more skillful, better defender. Probably the only thing he doesn't have over Inglis is strength.

Inglis didn't disappear for like 3 years or regularly throw passes into the 5th row though. Hayne has a few years of being this good before he can take that title.

I reckon both states are guilty of overating players.

And I don't have a problem with it.

I like it when they celebrate the talents of Hayne, GI, JT, DCE, SBW, Burgess etc.

It sure beats stories about nothing night club incidents or updates on players getting tattoos.

But yes, at times it does border on laziness and nausea.

It may as well be the JT Cowboys vs the Sydney Roosters on Friday because that's how it's largely been marketed - even though the MotM last week was Gavin Cooper and the likes of Scott, Taumalolo, Morgan, Ashton Sims etc. have been in great form lately.

Good luck hearing about that from anyone other than Ikin however.

I enjoy listening to Brad Fittler, Andrew Johns and Paul Vautin commentate.

I can't stand Joey as a person, but really respect his footy brain - he gives a fantastic insight into the game.

Freddie and Fatty are great value. It's nice to have that lighter side involved in commentary - I don't want to hear heavy handed analysis all the time. I love some of the shit Freddie comes up with when he's down on the sideline, what a fucking champion!
