Joey has really improved leaps and bounds at commentary. I actually enjoy his insight and he's usually good at justifying himself.

Fatty & Freddy are good at colour but when they try and actually comment on the game - they're pretty terrible. Most obvious example that comes to mind is Freddy suggesting that GI was the one putting himself in a dangerous position and he's still pushing it.

Inglis didn't disappear for like 3 years or regularly throw passes into the 5th row though. Hayne has a few years of being this good before he can take that title.

Not Hayne's fault that he has mostly played in a team of deadwood and park players for most of his career whilst Inglis and co have always been surrounded by good players and top coaching.

I believe all teams are cheating the cap. Some clubs just have better means of doing so and are better organised / have far more reach. This does not exclude the Broncos.

Also there was quite a point made about Fatty not knowing a rule (was it during Origin? Or did they give him a chance other than then?). He hasn't been in the comm box since.

I'm really hating the behind the in-goal area or near the player taking a conversion commentary they've been doing this year. Don't bother the players while the game is going ffs

Just because someone has a few games where they're better doesn't make them the best. Ben Hunt was better than Cronk and DCE in a lot of games this season but there is no way in hell Ben Hunt is the best halfback in the game. That's just ridiculous logic.

Ben Hunt isn't going to end up as good as we hope he will.

Every Broncos fan is hoping that he's going to keep developing until he's reached the heights of Cronk and co, it's my controversial opinion that at his peak, he won't be as good as Cronk.. or Cherry-Evans for that matter.

I'm not sure why I get this feeling, but I do, he has the tools.. I really hope the guy proves me wrong.

I find JT to be a teeny bit overrated by the QLD press. Don't get me wrong i rate him extremely highly, he is a great player and one of the greats but the press pump him up like he is untouchable and nobody else is close. Personally I think he needs to guide NQL to a premiership before I can put him alongside Lockyer, Langer, Johns, Sterlo, Daley, Fittler etc,

This logic seems to get unfairly applied to Thurston.

Ettingshausen, Rogers, Hindmarsh, Kelly, Jones, Elias, Roach and Pearce all great players- Kelly made the team of the century for Wests, Queensland and Australia and no one says they're not rated alongside greats because they didn't win a premiership.

Also you don't have to win a GF to be classed as a great.
