Corey Parker appreciation thread

Channel 9 reckons he rates himself a 40 percent chance, so likely he won't play, Oates into the backrow and Gillett to lock I reckon.

Damn, would be a huge blow. Our big advantage here should have been the pack, but with McGuire, Blair and Parker out, it's not really the case anymore.

With no Parker, McGuire or Blair.. we may struggle, our main advantage against Manly was our pack, but with our 3 best forwards out, I might have to back Manly in this one unfortunately.

Looks like CP is solidifying his media career for post Rugby League, was on the footy show last week and is more or less a permanent guest on Sterlo now as well.

While Blair was our best forward tonight, I thought Parker was a close second. Fantastic offloads, great running, strong defence (including some big tackles too). If only he could kick!

Best forward in the game IMO.

I still can't believe people ever thought Gallen was better than Parker.

It's sad he probably only has a year left. Since he isn't roided up like Gallen.

He's so good.

I'm so happy for him, he was the one constant shining light in 2012-2014 when we absolutely sucked. He's kept up his awesomeness as everyone around him got better and now we are in a GF. **** YEAH COREY!

If we win on Sunday, is this it for Cozza as well?

Nah.

He will play on. Possibly for 2 more years.

Where's the talk of him retiring coming from? He doesn't look like he's slowing down. Pretty sure he's signed for at least next year as well?

Corey Parker is a fucking legend, without a doubt. One of my favourite players, just a consistently awesome performer and I was very happy he got to captain the club last year.

By the looks of him he still has plenty of good footy left in him .

I doubt he'd retire...like I said, he's still probably the best non-Cam Smith forward in the world.

But then again Lockyer retired when he was still one of the best too.

Locky was still killing it at the end of his career if my memory hasn't failed. He was still leading every team around, performing week in and week out and coming up with all kinds of big plays in 2010 and 2011.

Will CP be captaining the side into the GF if Hodges is unsuccessful in challenging the charge?

Yeah, he will be the one to captain the side if Hodges doesn't play.
